I bought this amp after i blew a Power Acositsk 980....Under performs a lower quality amp. But has bold sound. but maybe it my hi-phonics sub....but worth the money if u got the air space to beat
THIS IS A GOOD AMP FOR THE MONEY. I HAVE 2 12"KICKER COMPS IN A SEALED ENCLOSURE BEING PUSH FROM THIS 800W SONY AMP.VERY IMPRESSIVE,I RECOMMEND THIS AMP TO ANYONE WHO WANTS LOUD ASS BASS!
This is a very good amp. I have it pushing 2 10" memphis power refrence subwoofers and an 8 gauge amplifier kit. This amp is very impressive and very smart. Gppd job sony. I recomend any of the new gtr series amps to anyone who needs good bass.
I originally got this very same amp for my 2 Rockford 12’ subs. Long story short they blew. So I upgraded to some 15’ subs. This amp handles the 15’ better then the 12’. I have not had a problem and it works VERY well. I would hightly recommend this amp to anything from 15’ to 6’x9’.
i love this amp. a very good job sony. like that guy said very impressive. i got this amp on a kicker comp cvr 12 and it sounds good. i just wish i knew whether or not the speaker could handle all of it.
i bought two of these for 2 sony 12" subs, had them in a sealed box in my trunk, they THUMP hard, and they will for a hours on end. although, about 6 months after i instualled them, one quit on me for no apparrent reason. but i got a new one and its been going strong ever since. highly recomended
I bought this unit for a set of 12 inch Sony subs, it really thumps when setup correctly, meaning filter and db settings. Although what I like most about this amp besides the neon light at night is that the unit does not strain the electrical system, but does run very cool. Which is impressive. Now seven months after installation, it started acting a bit weird, loosing bass and one day just gave away. I have since gotten a refurbish one from Sony, so far no complaints. for $70 bucks more I would have rather purchased the Infinity which carries a 3 yr warranty and sounds superb. I have the infinity installed on my truck, since it's bigger and puts out 300 watts RMS per channel, I can really tell the difference. Again, you get what you pay for. But overall it is a good system for the budget minded.
this is a good amp. for the price i dont know if u can get anything better it has good sound quality and puts out some good power i have this pushing 2 12" sonys in a ported box and it sounds alot better than i expected. i dont know why people say sony sucks if u ask me this is deffinetly a great sound system. i wouldnt of expected it to sound this good for the price and overall its a great deal i say if your on a budget get an all around sony system. it delivers good sound quality for an even better price
I had this amp hooked up to 2 12" Power Acoustik subs. they kick out 1600 peak each needless to say this amp was not able to keep up of course. The only issue is that the amp was not turned up all teh way when it "stopped working" All of a sudden it will not work and only lights up when u smack it a little bit. And even then it turns on for a brief second and cuts off again.
