2-9-09 I recieved my amp today. Was very excited to install and hear what it sounds like. To my surprise, it doesn't work. It lights up and I have voltage everywhere I should, but there is no sound. I went through everything and found that the amp is bad. I read the instructions and followed them to a T. I also went through the troubleshooting guide and was instructed to find an authorized dealer to repair the brand new amp. If this is the kind of service I can expect from Hifonics, I will not buy anything with there name on it again. I have waited two years to be in the position to buy a quality amp for my car and I am very dissapointed in their quality control!

great amp for the money, i have it on 2 alpine type r 12"s wired at 1ohm and they hit really really hard
This is the best amp I've ever had. I have this amp connected to two 12" hifonics atlas 600 rms and they sound great. My friend has 2 12" kicker cvx and my subs blow his away.

I got this amp hooked up to 2 kicker 15s wired each to 2 ohms, it hits insane you can hear my car from a few blocks over, this amp doesn't mess around. it also runs an extremely cool temperature. i would definitely recommend this amp

Real good amp,i got it hooked up to 2 alpine Type-Rs(Dual 4ohm), there wired to 2ohm each, this thing pounds my car just shakes, it feels like the car is going to fall appart, ill deffenitly recommend this amp
I hooked this amp up to 2 12'' kicker cvxs in a custom ported box in my truck. They were 4 ohm subs so I wired them at 1 ohm since that is when the amp puts out most power. They were the loudest 12s I have ever heard but after 3 days of use the amp started smoking and turning off over and over. The amp was never turned up all the way and my subs only needed 1500 watts rms total... Great amp but if you are wanting a lot of power go with something else
it hits ok, but the i had a 760 watt that hits harder. maybe because i need to switch to 2awg wires because i have 4awg now. but it hits Just Ok. but atleast it has no distoration
A brilliant amplifier. Just be shure you know what your talking about as far as amps before you rate one... cause most people rate amps and dont even know what an ohm is;)prolly why there system sucks.. If you hook this amp up CORRECTLY its an amazing amp.
I have this amp hooked up to two directed 12's in a ported box at 1omh and its sounds tight. it sucks alot of power but well worth it. thinkin about getin another one and two more subs
I bought this amp from somebody on Craigslist and have it hooked up to my L5 Solo Baric and it sounds okay. My sub is a 4ohm sub and I have it wired at 2ohms, so maybe I'm not gettin the best out of the amp. I know that Hifonics is the shit when it comes to their amps so I'm not gonna judge their overall quality on their products based off of one amp. But I do def recommend to those who want a good class D amp. Worth the money.
To the guy using one of these on two Olympus subs, you should get another one of these and push 1 sub each. These push 1600rms and each of the subs can handle it. I bought one of these off of craigslist cause the guy said it kept going into thermal protection. I have it hooked up to 4 kenwood 3012's pushing 1600watts with no problems. But it may be because I have fans for my amp rack. Go figure, best $25 I ever spent. Yes I said $25, that wasn't a typo.
what can i say, awesome amp for the price , great features and good looking design, replaced my 1600w phoenix gold ryval with this for my 2 12''phoenix gold rsdc's so i could go down to 1 ohm impedance, afraid theyre gona blow! great power, great amp, get it
I have one of these amps wired down to a 1.3 ohm load pushing 3 JL Audio 12w3v3's and it is amazing. It hits so damn hard and the gain is only half way up. The bass knob has to be turned down too at high volumes or I think I would blow the subs! Great amp. I would definately recommend it.
I have this amp runing a kicker cvx 12 at 1 ohm. It pushes it great. Set the gain right and bass boost at 1/4. Best bang for the buck amp i've ever bought. Some people have horror storys but ive had no problems.
this amp is great i have it pushing 2 hcca 10.2 orion 10s at 1 ohm and the amp is turned half way up when turned up u cant even sit in my truck and it blew out my back window thanks hifonics @ orion
I had this amp hooked up to two JL 12W3v3s at 2 ohms. It ran real strong, made everything in my car shake. It cut out every now and then and then one day it cut out and started smoking. Really good amp, I just think mine was faulty.

this amp is amazing.... no need to say more, i have it hooked up to 2 orion xtr pro's 12 inch 4 ohms, and have it in a ported box, i have them in my truck and it just shakes the whole dam cab! and these subs arent eveb broken in yet... so i would imagine that this amp gets the job done for most high end subwoofers.

I will only buy Hifonic amps after having an older brutis. i flooded my lifted 93 bronco and soaked it. Bought this one to replace that one and it is just as good. great amps and speakers. i got them hooked up on 2 12" hifonic subs ($35 ones) and i can see my back window poping up in my 2002 audi tt.
Ichange my titan 1500d for a brutus 1610 with 4 Mtx 12 inche double coil in a mitsubishi montero sport and the change is amazing this shake the windows and want to pull off the lights is a very amazing beast
