I would definitely recommend these speakers. I have them hooked up to a jbl 4channel 320watt amp with the same 6x9s in a 99 honda accord coupe. Heads are turning when i drive down the street with the windows down....great speakers
heads are turning because you are driving a shit honda ricer with obnoxious loud sound. definitely not because of the nice sound quality.
And you probably drive a Crapolla. Let the man enjoy his system for what it is, not everyone can afford too of the line cars or stereo components. I don't see the need to be rude to a fellow enthusiast.
These speakers are a very good deal for the money. They are an enormous improvement over stock speakers. As far as 3 way speakers go, they are probably one of the better sets I have owned over the years. Again, for the price you really cannot go wrong with these. I still prefer the Infinity Kappas, but these JBLs are a great deal if you are looking for nice sound on a budget.
Upgraded my existing Infinity speaker to these. What a world of difference. Drums sound like i'm at the parade. Only draw back was Tweeters stick out too far for my stock grills.
I brought these jbl gto638 about 7 months ago put them in my harley davidson road king. They sound great clear and can handle the power. Love these bad boys.

Really, really, very nice speakers. The balance between bass and highs are excellent. The bass is solid, not a 'woof' bass. The highs are crisp and not overly bright. I find little to no need to change the bass/high balances. That's a pretty good indication of accuracy in the design. There is normally less bass during cold weather until the car/truck warms up. For the money, these are a package that is extremely difficult to beat. If I needed to, I still find them worth buying again.
Loved the speakers! I installed them in my 2006 Acura TL, and with slight modifications they fit perfectly and sounded great. They give off a clear sound and would definitely recommend to anyone looking to purchase these speakers.
Amazing sound very clear and crisp sound. Great choice for my anniversary camaro project put two sets of these in no mods necessary. Then followed up with 6x9 gto 928s in the back and this system is beginning to come to life
