  • I have 2 jl audio 10w0's in a bandpass box and one jl audio 15w0 in a sealed enclosure currently wired in series/parallel with the 15" sub firing upwards with its phase reversed 180 degrees. All three subs are wired to a cheap 200 watt amp and they SLAAAAAAM extremely hard. I can't wait to see the outcome once I hook them up to my new rockford fosgate 1000 watt amp. All I have to say is JL Audio is the best car audio company i have ever ran across, and I used to be a professional installationist (so i've heard a lot of diffarent companies gear). Simply JL AUDIO IS THE BOMB!!!!!!!

  • My friend has 2 of these in an MTX Sealed hatchback box, running off a Power Acoustik 840w amp but we have it turned down half way and then running off of one channel. (210w max)These are in a 1992 Eagle Talon. We are assuming that we are pushing 120 Db inside the car. It puts out a lighter at about volume 20 out of 35. These subs are an amazing deal for 100 bucks a piece and I wouldn't reccommend anything else!!!

  • I have 2 of these in a JL powerwedge box and not only does it hit hard but it has great quality. I my JL's 2 years ago and have no problem since. Quality of sound and construction, what more could you want? JL is at the top of its game with these subs and at 99 these are a steal. My advice: Buy now

  • i'm picky about sound quality... this sub is pure sound quality. hooked to let both high and low freq pass, it gives crystal clear highs along with it's deep and true bass. kinda like having a thundercloud in your back seat.

  • got 2 of these in a sealed box hooked up to a 320watt amp, they hit hard, rattled my review mirror off. They do have some trouble reaching extreme low-bass notes but These speakers are perfect for anyone looking for a good system with little cost.

  • For the price this is a great sub I had it hooked up to a alpine M350 and it thumped. I was really impressed that it would be able to handle that much power. Great Buy!

  • I have 1 10" in a seal 1 cu.ft enclosure in my 89 camaro push by a soundstream reference 500sx and it hits extremly hard and accurate with all types of music. It takes a licking and keeps on kicking even with twice the amount of power that there rated at and i've had it for almost 3 years. JL is simply the best subs out there!!!!!!!!!!!

  • i have 1 of these in a sealed box, with a 200watt max kenwood amp. i drive a 1986 delta 88. this sub and amp are a great combination. just this little 1 10inch sub hit hella hard. you can feel the bass all around you. the sound quality is great. my friend has a 12in L7 kicker 1,500 watts peak. this sub sounds alot better than an L7. this little thing pushes out alot of bass (more than kicker) i plan on buying 1 more so i can have 2 10s that slap. anyone who wants a BIG sound system with little cost. this is the sub for you

  • ive got 2 of these in my 94 chevrolet 2500 silverado and these things hit hard! I got them used and the subs are 10 years old with the old foam instead of rubber and they blow the tops off my friends 2 12" Rocksford Fosgate T2's i definatley recommend these subs to anyone who wants hard hitting clean bass. My box holds 3 and im getting a third and i know no one will be able to beat my system. BUY THESE SUBS!

  • Ok First of all these subs are amazing but lets get these facts straight.. These will NOT!! blow away fosgate T2's get real. These will Not blow away L7's.. I have Three of these in a Prowedge box and they hit hard but i recently have been testing out different subs for my jeep and the fosgate T2 12" sub blew those three away.. simple fact is u get what u pay for.. but for someone like me at first u dont have much money this will hit hard but not mind blowing hard and they do sound great.. so for the price they are good subs but dont listen to any reviews saying they will blow those 500 to 1000 dollar subs away cause if u order these of those reviews u will be very dissapointed

  • I've seen somone that had 9-15 inch subs everything was fosgate. He blew one sub on his second bass note at a sound off. Ripped it in half don't be fooled it's not always what you got but how you hook it up. Never seen or heard of anyone blowin ine of these. Plus my friend had four of these in his jeep 2-12's 2-10's 1000 watts hit hard never blew.

  • I am an audio installer. Ive done quite a few cars. I installed (2) JL10W0-4 4ohm woofers for a customer today. The box is 2.5 ft^3 (sealed) with an MTX thunder 4202 powering them at 100w/piece @ 2ohms. They went into a Cadillac Seville. They did pretty good for the setup/price, but I'm going to get him another amp to run them at 125w@2ohm/piece. Im also building him a smaller box (1.4ft^3). They should hit nice, but dont listen to these people saying theyre blowing T2s and L7s and such. Reality: theyre very good 125w svc RMS subs. Good sound, not window breakers.

  • I bought 2 JL wo 12 8 ohms in 97 to run dual duty as house speakers and trunk /hatchback subs. After years of in house abuse and elemental abuse(being left oustide in heat and cold of the Dallas,TX) they died. 1 in 04 the other 07. They are hands down the best speaker for the money. Hit clean with alittle or alot of power.Starting over now with three 10-4ohm wo's on PG tantrum at 1/4 gain.
