Wow Sony! I was greatly impressed by this Head Unit. I have had Clarion, Kenwood, JVCs and Pioneers, a friend recommended this unit and I am greatly impressed. I installed this on my 2004 Acura Rsx Type S, the Bose system I had wasnt doing it for me. I installed this Sony with the stock speakers and WOW what a difference. The DSO feature is beautiful because it raises the sound of the door speakers to your ears. It has a custom EQ and also a number of great presets. The pixelated display although only 1 color is beautiful and has little movies that play as well as a number of other cool features. With pause, att, and a remote control thats easy to use this CD is convinient, fun to use, and has quality sound. Cant wait to hear what it sounds like on Phoenix Gold Components through my Phoenix Gold amp. Buy this HU you will NOT be dissapointed. Only negative thing to say about this unit, Sony didnt include a carrying case for the removable face plate, come on, Sony.
This receiver is worth the money it has 3 sub outs and an auxilary out, subwoofer controls, awesome sound, and awesome graphics plus it plays any cd you want to put in it including wma and mp3 it's dope. My cd's always eject and load perfectly. the wma, mp3, and atrac3 always work fine. This cd player is super easy to function and over all is the best cd player I have ever used, I've used pioneer, jenson, jvc and some others previously.
One of the best head units Ive seen around for the price. I previously had a $150 pioneer one and it sucked. For $20 more, this is a huge step up. I paid over $200 for this at best buy. I wish I had found out about this site sooner.
Not long ago I bought this cd player from Best Buy after my Pioneer cd player had got stole. I think this is a great cd player to rock my system. It has many equalizer setting to make me have complete control of my amp and it looks great. Graphics are great,sound quality is excellent,and it is a nice head unit and I am loving it.
Overall for the money this is a very good head unit. to be honest I rerely use this head unit to listen to cds I use the auxillary feature the most as for I own a Zune and I love how easy it is to switch to the aux but sometimes I wish the aux was in the front instead of the back on this unit for even easier access. My speakers and subs sound great with this head unit and if your a fan of Sony I'd say buy it but if your looking for something a litle cheaper I'd buy the CDX-GT300 model instead the graphics on this unit are ok but not the best I've seen (I'd recommend pioneer for that). So if you have an ipod/mp3 player I'd definately recommend getting this unit as for you won't have to use a crappy FM transmittor.
