  • i am currently building a new system i have two alpine 12 type x subs and i am using two of these amps.these are the best alpine amps yet i owned jl w7 and 100/1 amps and i have to say the alpine subs and amps are way betterthey take up a third of the space and are stackable great job alpine.

  • Amps ar unreal I am running two of these to my type X 12's i use to have two hifonics BX 1200 wich is a grat amp 4 the money. But no comparison to the PDX i did my homwork to and this is the best thing alpine ever made and most likely one of the best mono block amps made. the fact alone that this amp puts out 1100 wats at 4 ohms is sick and esaly worth the money.

  • I have setup this amp with two 12" hertz subs in a bassworkx ported box, it sucks so much power its unreal lol, deff need a 4gage wiring kit they say 80a fuse but you straight need the alpine 150amp fuse, it requires a very good solid ground or it will not preform, deff one of the best amps alpine has come out with this year

  • This is a great amp. Cons: -It doesn't have some features usually found on amps in the price range like a bass boost, or remote control option for front (a decent crossover should resolve problem). -SQ is pretty decent. Seems to peak at 150-200 hz, anything higher is below avg quality (compared to other high end amps from autotek jl, jbl, xtant etc...), and anything lower is equal to comparable amps. -Build quality is somewhat cheap w/ plastic on the sides and brushed aluminum plastic. Speaker terminals are plastic and don't like to be overtightened the slightest bit or they fall apart. -Tiny hex wrench needed to use front panel controls make it hard to tune and get to(dropped one into my fiberglass enclosure lost forever). -Not 1 Ohm stable. Pro's: -Extremely efficient power consumption. My old jl 1000/1, and jbl bpx1100.1 would cause lights to dim even with optima up front and back, and 10 farad cap. Downgraded to just an optima up front, and a 5farad cap, and no diming. -Super small footprint. Can fit this with a pdx-4.150 in the same space as most other amps in this class. -Plenty of power, pushes well over 1000 watts into either 2 or 4 ohms. Very competitive with other amps on market. I used it on 2 Kicker 12" L5's (sealed small box) and pushed them pretty well, albeit a little underpowered. Used it on a couple JBL P1224's (first vented big box then sealed small box) and pushed them perfectly. Currently running 1 JL 12W7 in a small fiberglass enclosure and it works excelent although a little lacking in the higher (200-300Hz) frequencies usually found in a lot of techno and rock. Absolutely awesome on lower frequencies in rap and r&b -Looks great, even with plastic parts on it although needs to be wiped down often. -Not really worth retail price, then again no amp is worth retail price usually. Worth the price here and cheaper on other sites as well. Considering SQ, footprint, power, efficiancy, and uniqueness it is a great amp. Note: Definetly use a cap for this amp, and if your alternator is below 90amp consider upgrading your alternator before you use this amp.

  • I could not believe the amount of power that this small amplifier had to offer. When I first saw the amp I was skeptical but now it makes the phrase "Size Doesn't Matter" true. Lol !!!! Definitely a great buy and I would recommend this amp to car audio fan that is looking for some real powerful juice to run there subs under.

  • I have 3 PDX Amplifiers 2 x 1.1000 1 x 4.150 Excellent sound quality Small Footprint The only dissapointing thing about the Monoblocs is there are no remote bass control?? The panel for the controls is opened via the hex key provided. Handy, but annoyoing when tuning the system. They can handle 8V inputs.

  • i have 2 3011 kenwood 12" subs hooked up to this and its loud more than i ever thought but im having a problem with the 4 20 amp fuses in back of the amp they keep blowing and have no idea. any advice but serious amp for its sive.

  • most of the reason why fuses blow on the amp is because its not grounded properly or your power wire is arching on the battery make shure that this amp is not rigged that it is installed properly and check your connections ALL OF THEM!!

  • I bought one of these amps, and man can you say power? This amp is spectacular. Great SQ! The only problem is, you need a high input RCA or else you have to crank the gain to get the right voltage. Which then makes the amp get pretty dang hot. So just a word of advice, make sure you have at least 5v input.

  • Great amp. I have two powering my two 13.5W7s and those monsters are getting plenty of power. They do not get too hot if they are wired correctly and they will run for hours. 5 stars
