Product Reviews For MTX Thunder Elite TE1501D

  • This is such a nice amp. But for the price it's not really worth it. If you want 1000 watts or more get the pheniox gold 1500 watts at 2 ohm or the hifonics brutus a 1100 watts. You'll spend half as much and get just as good song from it.

  • compared to all the amps ive had, this happened to be the best of all. the bass is rock solid. i have it wired down to 1 ohm on 2 l7 12s. this amp to me did better than the brutus 2000d, the brutus 1600d, and the kicker kx 1200.1. this amp is too expensive tho. but i bout it for 400

  • A decent amp is all i will give this. It holds it own with amps half its price but put it up against something of equal money and it just ain't got it. Plus it is so power hungry that the 1.2 farad cap, aftermarket high amp alt, and the optima yellow top i have are no match for it as it swallows up every bit of juice.

  • This amp is the best amp i've ever owned! I'm running 4-12" custom designed subs rated 400 rms each. This amp beats the living snot out of them at 1650 rms at 1 ohm. Extremely power hungry though. I have 2 optima yellow top batteries and a 130 amp alternator pushing this amp in a 2000 Ford Ranger Ext. Cab and while driving down the highway, i can still see the battery needle move. Totally worth every penny, GET THIS AMP!!!

  • This amp is amazing. The only problem with it being it likes power, but what good amp doesn't. Also unlike all those other amps that are left in the other reviews this amp actually puts out the amount of rms it is supposed to because it is CEA-2006 compliant (mine actually was tested and rated about 250 more on the rms in each of the ohm ratings) if the other amps put out what they say they do then why aren't they CEA-2006 compliant also. (I suspect that is because their amps are overrated, unlike this one that is actually underrated) Another plus is you dont have to hide this amp because it looks awesome. if you have the money you wont be disappointed.

  • I like this amp alot and I'm pushing 2 Memphis mojo 12" with it and it hits harder than an amp I have ever used..... But it is exspensive. U can get 2 infinity 1211a class D amps that hit harder for less. They only cost about $350 a peace.the only resin I got this is because I ran out of room for 2 amps so I got one to replace it. But like said the infinity 1211a is way better if u have the room for 2 ( that is if u need that much power (1300 watts RMS) but if u have the money it's worth paying 1000 bucks For the same amount of power u would get out of a $1200 - $1500 amp BUY IT

  • I have one of these running 2 MTX 9500 15s and a stinger 5 farad cap with a kinetic 600 2nd battery and I still get a minor dimming of my lights at night. very power hungry but the bass kicks ass and keeps the honeys wanting to ride in my cadillac all the time!!

  • i have this amp running 6 thin 13 power acquistic subs in a 89 chevy 1500 reg. cab truck. it is by far the best amp i have owned point blank period. i had the subs on seperate planet audio amps(ap1500d)which are damn good and somewhat cheaper than buying this one but the extra money was worth every penny of it.

  • I have this bad boy pushing 3 Alpine Type R 10's at 1.33 ohm load. They are screaming for mercy with this amp. Sound quality is great. Toss the bass knob as it drains 15% of the amps capability. Other than that this one is flawless

  • This Amp produces/provides alot of power however this drains alot of amps from an alternator. I have it pushing 1 MTX 9515-44 in 4.5cubic ft. ported box and a TE1004. I recommend this Amp only if you get a high ouput alternator, YOU WILL NOT GET THE FULL POTENTIAL OF THIS AMP IF YOU DONT BEEF UP YOUR ALTERNATOR, EXTRA CAPS and BATTERIERS WON'T HELP YOU. I got a custom highput Alternator 350amps for $450, I have no extra battery, cap, or circuit breaker, just a red top under the hood, no interior/exterior dimming. • This is a very clean sounding amp. I had a old Rockford power800a2 pushing 2 10" power punch dvcs. The Rockford had great sound for higher bass but doesn't compare for the clean lows from the thunder elite1500. If you want bass that will rumble out the lows get this amp. If you are wanted higher bass that rattles more this is not what you want. I even had two alpine type r's hooked up and a planet audio anarchy 2600.2 amp. The type r's rattled my face more with the 2600.2 than the te1500 but the 2600.2 sounded like garbage on my Rockfords. This mtx is much better with no knob. Very clean if you want sq
