Awesome Subwoofer that can handle anything you throw at it.
the best subwoofer for the money i have 3 of them and 4 audiobhan amps .. it blew open my trunk.. best for the money def buy it
This sub has a lot of power and a great sound
frist off this thing hits hard if you get a amp that have enough power this is all you need for the price is good considering the outher products on this site i have mine powered from a hifonics bx 2200d amp every thing is turned up all the way i get people bicthing at me in rush hour to turn it down if you listin to rap music like me then this is the way to achieve deep deep bass with out going broke my box is ported enjoy the attention you get from the public. p.s. here is some fun things to do while in traffic for in starters if a pack of harley rides roll up be side oyu with there bikes that have no mufflers no problem its quite easy to put them in there place just roll down all windows in yuor ride look straight ahead and start bumpin your sub and they will back off trust me lol. and some outher fun activities that you can do with your sub is going to your local mall or walmart and drive around and see how many car and building alarms you can set off in the qickest amount of time lol thats just some stuff i do for fun lol thats the best way to get your money out of your system and some thing to do at the same time peace
Great Subwoofer. I have one hooked up to a hifonics BX1205D amplifier in a ported box at a 1ohm load. After sub and 2 ports the box is about 3.55 cubic feet of air space. This sub is pretty loud all by itself. I had 2-12 inch audiobahn subs before 700 watts rms each sub hook to a power acoustic 2 channel amp which was peak of 2400 watts bridged into a 4ohm load and it still isnt as loud as my one 15 inch sub. Thank you Audiobahn for a descent sub for the price.
I know you all are looking at the numbers and wondering why the overall rating of 3. Well that is because this subwoofer ratings are wrong. This sub can not handle 2000 watts RMS. So once I placed an AMP on it that produces 2000RMS the Sub started smoking something serious. So now I am in search for another sub that can actually handle the added power. But I will give it one thing, it really hits hard!!!!
This sub definatly lives up to the name that Audiobahn has made for itself. I won multiple competetions in Germany with this sub in the DB Drag classes. This mug goes deep man. Match this with Audiobahn's A1500 HCT and you have a perfect pair. The box makes all of the difference though. As with any sub.
I know this woofer can handle the power, in the shop (Axle Electronics) there are two of these, in a custom fiberglass box, designed to Audiobahn specs for these woofers, hooked to a Kicker 2500.1 ZX, the woofers are run down to 2 ohms each, and then into the Kicker. They've hit hard since the break in period, when they were only running off a Kicker 1250.1 SX ... These things pound, and hard. Shakes the entire show room when only pushed to about 21 on a KDC-X890 eXcelon unit. We sell them for roughly the MSRP and, even at that, they are worth the money.
i curently have 2 of these 1508s and i made a box fron audiobahns site and with a ma audio 4400wats rms amp these subs will knock your damn back window out once you have them broke in and if you have it tuned to about 35hz you can easly set off car alarms at about half volumn and i have a pioneer head unit (best system iv ever had)
This sub is a Power-Hungry MONSTER... If you have the right amp it will slam anything you match it up against... I only had one and it was murder to the eardrums...until it ate my amp...giv it all the power it needs an youll be ight
this sub is not the best for sound quality, but if you are looking for killer bass this is your winner. i have one of these subs in my yukon powered by a Hifonics bxi2006, and my pannels all flex on my truck so bad that the roof rolls. if you tune this sub to about 35hz you should easily be able to hit 145db
This sub was surely a waste of money. I built a ported box from the sub's manual (3.6 cu.ft. with 2 3*10 ports); although they did not give the lenght of the ports. I installed only one to a Diamond Audio Amp. (1500.1), replacing 2 Kicker CVRs (400 RMS), which both are still working, (the reason for upgradeing was so I could turn my gain up on my amplifier). The audiobahn sub only played for no more than 10 mins. before it shut off and started to smoke. My amp should have gone out before the sub, since they have it rated at 2000 RMS. and my gain wasn't no wear near the max. All I can say is "Chose wisely, because there is no warranty on burnt voice coils."
I don't know what David was talking about, but this sub will blow your mind! I just put a pair in my friends car with a pair of strapped Crunch Pzi 3000.1d. Running them at 1ohm stable. I got his car metered, he hit 165.3db at 44Hz. Like I said, for the money, these subs will decimate all but the AWIS15P. Incredible. Running CLEAN power to them they will play all day at 3000watts.
i replaced 2 kicker 12" with 2 of these got it hooked up with a 4 c.f. ported box lanzar 4000 watt amp and it makes the the quarter panels move and opened the seal on the cap in my bronco i love them now davind if you use the wrong box or your amp is TOO UNDER powered or wires are crossed wrong you will blow voice coils the speakers are easy to blow but if you pay attention to detail you will love them.!
I've had almost every high end system setup you can imagine, JL W6's, Alpine type R's, MMATTS Dreadnaughts, Infinity Perfects, Phoenix gold, Fosgate,PPI,Boston Acoustics,Jbl, and these hold their ground. I am running 3 1208t's on a Fosgate 1500.1bd at 1ohm in a slot ported box and they pound. I don't just listen to rap so sq is just as important as spl. Sure I've had systems that were louder and systems with more clarity, but I'm talkin' thousands more. These overall are great subs, but for the price, they are unbeatable! All I can say to David is Either learn to wire your subs, or spend the $$$ to have a pro do it. There are only 2 ways to smoke voice coils, 1. way overpowered subs and 2. wiring subs incorrectly. No 1500 watt amp is going to overpower one of these.
I have two of these subs in a 8 c.f. vented box with 2000 watts rms on each sub. They stomp every sub i have ever owned. I've been doing this for almost twenty years. They look awesome an sound even better. I have them in a dodge extended cab. I sprayed my cab with noise killer before I got the subsw I need to spray the fenders an bed as they sound like someone has a piece of sheet metal shaking it.When hooked up correct they pound like h???.But port length an c.f. does matter. If you don't know what you are doing you can make a good sub sound like crap. If you don't have the room for the big box you need a smaller sub.
well i have 2 of these babys in a 98 dodge ram hits harder than any thing i have owned there running off 4 jl 10001/v2.would reccomend.and 2 davis gain is not a volume control
just make sure you get an amp that can handle this underpowering this is a waste of time
sub hits crazy lows.. got 3000watts running to it and my car is literally falling apart. AMAZING
I have two of these but i only wanna put one for now what will be a good amp for it
