these kenwood speakers blow the doors off the stock speakers in my 97' yukon, even only with an aftermarket sony stereo powering them.the installion was a piece of cake, with both of them taking less than a half an hour. The best 55 bucks i have spent in a long time, that didnt come with a full release. cant wait to buy some subs and a kickin amp.
I bought these speakers to replace the worn-out, fuzzy-sounding stock units in my '84 Fiero. They're much better constructed than the stock units, and dropped right in to the factory openings. There was only one problem with the installation: there's a raised lip on the outside of these speakers that the factory ones didn't have and the built-in washers on the stock 7mm hex bolts would not clear. The excessive length of the Kenwood-supplied screws (almost an inch and a half long) made it impossible to use them in this installation. 7mm hex bolts from Ace Hardware with a similar length to the stock ones and a much smaller washer did the trick. Metra GM speaker adapters meant that I didn't have to cut into the factory wiring; they just plug right in. And the speakers sound great. No more FOOM -- FOOM -- FOOM on the bass.
Could be like 10 bucks cheaper. Other than that very good speakers I have them in my Tahoe and they are nice and crisp.
I installed these speakers in my 1997 Tahoe because the rear speakers were blown ridiculously bad. They made a HUGE difference in the back seat and are definitely noticeable from the front seat with clear sound and good bass. Installation was pretty easy other than removing the 4 9/32" bolts from each speaker. To save you some confusion, the gold wire is positive on the driver's side and the light blue is positive on the passenger side. If you need 4"x 10" speakers, buy these. I shopped all over and these got the best reviews and they are the cheapest on this site.
These are good speakers, They can handle more power than the head unit gives them, They have clean bass and hit a good range of tones from high to low

Exceptional sounding speakers, just what is expected from Kenwood. I had just a tiny issue when installing it as it does not mount similar to my old 4x10 speakers. I had to make adjustments but still sounds good after all.
Good god! this is really a perfect upgrade for my very old Chevy S10. had a hard time finding great sounding 4x10s nowadys but of course Kenwood saves the day!
Beautiful sounding speakers. Perfect for classic cars that works with 4x10s like my very very old Chevy. It just gives a new life to my audio setup. Don’t look for a booming bass with these things but still it can give some decent sounding lows.
