Consider this your cheap introductory level Alpine head unit. This is not one I would recommend unless you are strapped for cash and only want Alpine. There are other head units out there with more features for about the same price without the Alpine cost. Don't get me wrong, Alpine makes extremely good stuff... but they just didn't hit the mark with this one. Step up to one of the CDA models or check out the previous years line before you buy.

This says Alpine all over it, but you may be better off with Jensen or Dual products. Cheaper, same quality (construction wise), and you're not paying for the name. The sound is all Alpine, but no improvements over other Alpine units. Want good sound at a cheap price, this is decent, just not one I would go for again.
I recently bought this unit because my old pioneer one got stolen, im sure glad it did. This Alpine "introductory" unit is a pretty good starting peice. I would recommend it to anyone who wants a well made and good looking unit. peace
Good starting head unit. i'd go with a upgraded unit preferably. It help's sound quality a small amount, but could be much better.
A tremendous upgrade compared to the stock radio in my '99 Accord Coupe. The unit provides the speakers with a noticeable difference in quality. I'd recommend this unit to anybody that's a) strapped on cash b) not too serious about car audio, but has a love for various tastes in music. The only complaint I have is that it does not come with a remote, and I wouldn't mind a little more features. On another note, the BBE makes absolutely no difference if you have stock speakers. You need to upgrade your system to hear the difference.
i bought this last week and this is the best cd player ive ever seen everyone thats seen it so far wants one like it it made my sound alot better- 2 pairs of alpine 4x6's and even has different colors to choose from. i am very pleased with this cd player it was cheap and works great
