Pioneer Premier  DEH-P780MP

I replaced a Kenwood Excelon stereo with this one. this thing is way better. amazing display, a ton of features, and its a Pioneer so its obviously top quality.

I just replaced the Alpine deck in my boat with this, and what a difference. I couldn't be happier. The 5 volt preouts are great as well as all the other features! I hooked it up with the ipod interface and xm radio and it is really user friendly. I would recommend this deck to anyone

I upgraded from a Premier DEHP740MP ( 2002) model, and felt my sound was dying, sounds were tinny and the bass was not very full with my old deck. ( which is still a fairly good deck to todays specs) What i hated about my old Head unit was the almost 5 second long mp3 loading times This all changed TODAY when i got the DEH P780MP. This is FLAT OUT the BEST HEAD UNIT i have EVER heard in my life. The BURR BROWN 24 Bit DAC makes ALL THE DIFFERENCE in sound quality, the change is NIGHT and DAY. I still am in shock how rich, full, and vibrant my stereo system sounds. And ive only had it installed for 30 mins, i still have days of tweaking to do. My stereo literally feels like everything is upgraded and has double the specs of my old, just by upgrading the head unit. I have the IP bus adapter from my old stereo which is converted to RCA's for use with my Playstation 2, and this also has another stereo jack RCA slot for my psp or anything else i want to add ( mp3 player, or laptop) The full color screen looks bright and crisp, its like going from a 640x480 CRT resolution to a 1280x1024 LCD on a computer. There are 3 lines of scrolling text for Mp3 cds and you can view them and select them without having to load each song ( no downtime) The features between this stereo and the one below it ( the 680/aka 6800) are WELL worth the extra 100.00 The DAC alone is worth it, there is a 16 band equalizer and also functions for BBE and Compression/BMX technology. Imaging is amazing with this unit. I drive a 2000 Mustang and the speaker location in the front is horrible ( lower doors) and with these options i get amazing sound digitally processed. There are other options as well i havent tinkered with to improving imaging. The built in crossover has every possible way of adjusting your system with the remote control. No need to buy a 200.00 EQ and have to run to the trunk to tune your setup. I would have payed 500.00 for this deck based on how good it is. Its on sale here and i suggest ANYBODY that wants to upgrade thier sound ( even if you have stock speakers) to buy this. For reference, i have the following as my system components. 2 Phoenix Gold zx600Ti amplifiers ( subs) 1 Alpine MRV301 amplifier 75wx4 ( highs) 2 Pioneer 5x7's front 2 Pioneer 6x9's rear 2 Concept CEX Subwoofers in 3ohm mono both independently powered by each zx600 -Phoenix Gold Bass CUBE for bass enhancement.

this deck is simply too good to be truehas tons of features especially the sub woofer and is totally customize - ible ,rating it ten out ten would mean pioneer has made the perfect deck.

This thing is loaded. I thought my DEH-580MP was doing a good job, till I put this thing in. Tons of adjustability. Really woke my system up.
