Simply AMAZING!!! Great looks, easy functions, great sound quality along with many tuning options, but the BEST part is, the "full-speed" iPod control. This is a MUST HAVE for the iPod and car music enthusiast!!!

This is the first alpine I've ever owned and I love it! The sound quality is amazing. All of the functions are easy to use. Very good quality all around. My only problem was my ipod software was not compatible so I can't use it. Still worth five stars. Buy this Alpine receiver!

This is the best head unit I have ever had- or listened to in a car. I have heard pioneer, sony, dual, and some others. And I had an Alpine 9845 previous to buying this one- the 9857 by far is the better head unit. The price is awesome!- i have seen it at other sites and stores, and they all are going for $350

I bought this deck because of the iPod compatibility and im not dissapointed. This deck has by far the best sound quality and is lightning fast with the iPod vs. other deck. I want to get the bluetooth also and maybe XM. This deck has it all.

Awesome unit. I've used Alpine since my first HU purchase. This is great. I like how it doesn't have the motorized face also, one less thing to break. The iPod function is sweet. Rather fast compared to other companies. SQ is pretty good. Decent controls. Once its figured out, everything is easy to access. Screen looks great at night too.

This is one of the top of the line cd players. I highly recommend it if you have subs. It gives you maximum control over how you want your bass to hit.

very nice headunit. Same Pro's as everyone else said. Controls the ipod very very well. Very nice menus and options. Now the bad. Radio reception sucks and the HD radio addon doesnt support HD2 signals (read up about it if you want to use HD radio) Thats it. every thing else is awesome about it, it looks and sounds great.

this is a great deck, the only problem i had was that i needed to update my ipod (not alpines fault) to scroll through the playlists on the deck. i thought the deck was messed up at first. sound quality is comparable with my last eclipse HU which i thought was a better deal until i wanted to buy a ipod ready eclipse to find out the eclipse model comparable to this deck was 200 bucks more, so i went back to alpine. great deck for the money and sounds good.

I love this HU. What won this unit over for me was the BioLite display. This thing is gorgeous. The Full SPeed iPod connection took about a day to master but once you learn it i find it easier than using an iPod now. I aslo higly reccomend purchasing steering wheel integration units if your car is already equiped with them, very useful.

This HU does have it all. iPod access is very quick and controls are fairly intuitive. The Bluetooth option is a tad spendy, but a ridiculously handy feature. The Pre-outs are only 2V instead of others at 5V in the same class but signal quality is surprisingly good considering. A great HU if you are running all components and amps. Speaker level output is a tad weak in the signal quality arena, but better than that of at least half the competition. Online Car Stereo has really outdone themselves with the price. EVERYONE is running it for 349.99 you save almost 80 bucks right now. My order was shipped in 3 hours too, which is pretty darn good for online orders. Sub control is superior on this product. Unless you normally rock all Nakamichi all day long, this deck will not disappoint. This deck really made the difference for me, I run a 600W 4ch Alpine, a 1600W Kenwood Excelon running 1ohm stable on one Kicker (geez I love kicker woofers) 12L7. I have MB Quart components (Q line). I have a mobile rock/hip-hop concert with 30G of music at my fingers.
