if your an spl competitor buy this. if you just like good sound buy this, if your fed up with paying too much for alpine and eclipse buy this if you want to spend under 200 buy this.
Had this cd player...awesome deck, just dont like the fact that everytime the ignition is cut off when Im using the iPod, it starts the iPod completely over from the beginning...kind of a hassle at times but other than that, great deck, nice tuning capabilities
Just bought this head unit and it makes the sound 100% better then the Kenwood I had. 200% better then stock. Its a very nice unit for the price. It does everything you would like a head unit to do or need it to do. Makes the music so crisp even with out an amp. My old Kenwood doesn't even compare to the sound this will produce even with stock speakers. You'll def be pleased. It does sound the best when you get the custom EQ setting just right for you taste.
This is the fourth sony that I have owned in the past 10 years. With each new phase of feature in car audio sony has seemed to stay in the forefront in quality, features, and price. the gt710 is by far the most versatile head unit in this price range, and better than most that cost twice as much. The ease of sound control and variety of setting makes this enjoyable for any audiophile that can get past the glam of a product label. Son's been doing this stuff for longer than almost anyone else out there and they still make the grade. I would highly recommend this unit to anyone I know.
Great deck, have this hooked up to 2 15'' kicker comps and a Volfenhag German Concept 1000 watt amp in a 2002 Ford Ranger Edge supercab...beats SOOOOOOOOOO hard, when i ride down the road and its hitting, the oncoming cars' headlights move :)
