when i first got these subs they blew my mind. they look good with super clean lines. the first thing you should notice is that they weigh about 35 pounds each. second that the blue flames are plastic. third is that the speaker terminals are solid mount with alen key screws thats a feature i really like. fourth is the fact that the surround on these things are super beefy for a 12. when i first hooked them up i ran them in 2 ohm just to get a taste and to make sure everything ran smoothly. after a few months i got used to it and rewired them for 1 ohm on 5000 watts and OMG at the increase it was literaly day and night in the diff. everything went from rattling to shaking parts loose on my car. but to be honest with you don't run them too hard if you overpower them like i do. TRUE 2500 WATTS per sub is too much for the sub i recommend no more than 2k power per. the only thing i really don't like about these subs is that unless you strap 2 amps together or have a 2channel amp you won't be able to run them at 1 ohm

Operating impedence on these are .5, 2, or 8 ohm. If runnning 2 of these I would reccommend 2 1500 watts mono amps. There is no need to run at 1 ohm. Kicker ZX1500.1 would be perfect. You will get much cleaner sound at 2 ohms, plus amps will run cooler and more efficient. Most amps are rated at 2 ohm anyways so you will still get the full power of the amps to them. I had one of these when they offered the 10" and won a few competitions with it. Great sound, very loud but be careful, clipping you amps with setting the gain to high WILL distort these subs and cause mechanical damage to them. To avoid clipping I would match your gain to the output voltage of the amp. This can be done with a DMM set on AC. Charts are available online.
