It is essential nowadays to have a car equipped with advanced features for a better driving experience, but they can also be costly. One thing you can do is upgrade, and the perfect step is to get one of the multimedia receivers from Kenwood's flagship brand Excelon, the DMX809S.
One of the issues when replacing a receiver is that there is a possibility that you will lose some factory features that come with your car but never worry about that. It is compatible with the iDatalink Maestro module, so it retains the factory features and can also see your car's engine performance on its 6.75-inch display.
As it is compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, you can now use voice commands or touch the receiver's display to make and take calls, send and receive text messages, listen to voicemails, ask for directions, or play music. It also has a Bluetooth option for hands-free calling or wireless music streaming.
It is SiriusXM-ready, so you can still follow your favorite stations and shows, even on the road. You can also mirror your Android phone to the receiver's display using its USB port or the Mirroring OA for Kenwood application.
It has a built-in amplifier with a power output of 22 Watts continuous power per channel and peak power of 50 Watts per channel. You can shape the amplifier's frequency response using its 13-band graphic EQ feature. It also has a three-way crossover to filter unnecessary frequencies to protect your speakers from blowing off.

This head unit's got tons of cool stuff. Messing with the settings made my car music way better. Install took a while, but it paid off. Way better than the factory stereo, and the EQ software makes my speakers rock. Wireless CarPlay is solid, but Android Auto connects slow and Spotify acts up sometimes. Overall, pretty good.
Its graphic EQ allows me to shape the sound that I want. Its navigational features are very helpful, and the Carplay is very smooth to use.
All the things are here for a newbie like me. CarPlay or Android Auto, it got them all. Sound quality is pretty nice too and the EQ setting are easy to work on.
