Kicker Warhorse Amplifier: Engineered for SoloX® L7X™ Subwoofers
Kicker developed the Warhorse subwoofer amplifier specifically to drive their SoloX® L7X™ Series subwoofers. Available in 10-, 12-, or 15-inch sizes, these powerful 2000-watt rated subs come in dual voice coil (DVC) 1-ohm and 2-ohm models.
- One 10", 12", or 15" L7X DVC-2 sub wired at 4-ohms for a 1400-watt bass output.
- Two L7X DVC-2 subs wired together at 2-ohms for a 2500-watt bass output.
- One 10", 12", or 15" L7X DVC-1 sub wired at 2-ohms for a 2500-watt bass output (which may be a bit much, but Kicker thinks will be safe).
- Two L7X DVC-1 subs wired together at 1-ohm for the full 3600-watt bass output.

The low-pass and subsonic EQ filters enable exact tuning of your subwoofer's bass. You can adjust the bass level from the front seat using the remote control knob, and a remote diagnostic display keeps track of voltage, current, and temperature to ensure your system operates at peak performance, even under maximum load.
Kicker's Warhorse Competition Mode: Revolutionizing Bass Performance
In the realm of competition-level bass, the intense sound pressure can literally shake things up—causing hair to stand on end, windows to crack, and even twisting an amplifier’s tuning knobs out of place. Kicker’s "Livin' Loud" team addresses this challenge with their Warhorse Competition Mode button. Engaging this feature bypasses the physical rotary knobs on the amplifier, allowing for electronic adjustment of the gain and crossovers. This mode is optimized for playing bass as low as 10 Hz with a 4-watt speaker-level input signal. It works exceptionally well with digital signal processing (DSP) in your source unit, providing ultimate control over volume, balance, and tone. Additionally, the Competition Mode enables the amplifier to handle high-voltage systems—up to 17 volts DC—using lithium batteries or similar power sources.
