When I first heard the MTX 9500 it hit so hard my ears actually bleed, I wanted one immediatly when I heard it but I could not find a web site with a reasonable price till now.
it sound better than JL 13w7
When i heard 3 13s jl w7s i thought that, the was the loudest system in town, that was my friends avalanche he spend $6500 for the system cash.so i decide to buy the MTX 9500 i bought 2 of this monsters i put them on my yukon xl with the MA AUDIO amp 4000 watts rmsw im hiting 2 times louder than him and now he wants my subs. This subs are the best. i hit 158dbs
I purchased two of these 9500 15" drivers when they first came out. I installed them in my 2004 Chevy Ext. Cab Duramax Diesel. I ran an MTX 1501D to each of these subs and they absolutely POUNDED! I hit 158 dB in street legal comp, and 166 dB in "Port Wars!" This was done in a USAC event so you know the numbers are real. I've never had a single complaint about these monsters if I do say so myself.
This sub is awesome. I have it hooked up to a Mtx 1501D and it does the job. Hits very hard and it shakes everything around you. I have it in a ported box. Best investment.
When I first heard JL's w7 lineup I thought, "How could nothing ever be better?" Then MTX came out with the 9500 series subs and they totally rocked the W7 to the ground! They are basically the same thing except the 9500 is a few dbs louder depending on the music and application and is over $300 cheaper than the 13W7. Its magnet is more dense, its got more 1-way Xcursion, more cone surface area, and a super heavy duty motor structure.
I have this speaker in a front sloted box. It is in my 92 Ford Taurus station wagon. I have a mono class D alpine MRP-M350 amp, a boss crossover, and a panasonic Cd player. The anp and crossover are turned up all the way. My friends say they can hear me for blocks. I need a bigger amp, and one more of these subs.
The sexiest sub ever created for the price and the sound as long as you got a powerful amp(MTX-1501D or 81001) you will catch a MI-grain at the end of the day. HAHAHA! I OWN ONE!
I owned 2-15" kicker l-7s, and 2-12" l-7s. It took all 4 of them to match the bass of one 9500. The 9500 broke the seal of my rear window twice(Too much Damn Bass!) If you can't take the bass then don't buy this SUB!
I have two of these in a vented box in a ford explorer. WOW!!!. It rocks I have two 81001 amps and a stinger battery. Pioneer head unit and mtx component system. I beat the block down
WOW! that is the only word in the dictionary to describe this sub. I just got mine from here and have it in a 6cubes ported box, in the back of a tahoe. I have it hooked up to an alphasonik pma1000da amp pushing 1500w rms at 2 ohms
this thing is a beast however that said if you can give it enough power 1000-1500watts rms it will give you the sonic experience you've been waiting for i have one with a hifonics 1606d on it at 2 ohms and it is loud clear and has full tonal balance it will play low and high bass freq without breaking a sweat i have heard and installed many subs this is in my top 3 the only two that beat it are the critical mass ul-12 $2000.00 and the re audio xxx15 $1200.00 in that order but for the price you will not believe your ears
Very good sub have 1 with a soundstream XXX-6500D amp, its really loud but really lacks the low notes, doesnt really get deep and only sounds good with some tracks. Over worth the money
im extremely impressed with the 9500. I've been building competition sound systems for 14 years now. And by far the mtx 9500 has been the best bang for the buck and you could not ask for better sound quality. When jl audio first came out with the 13w7. It was way too much money, and the way you had to put it together was way to tricky. thank you MTX for being there to save the day!!!
i have one of theses subs in a liclon town car with a 1000 watt alpine i was hitting 146 db at the comp
Zain look what amp u got!!! It's shit! The 9500 is simply amazing
i have 6 of these powered by 3 earthquake 5000 watt amp's hitting 187db at sound show.all i can say to everything else is sweet dreams
i have two of these bad boys on a hifonics 2610, loudest system i ever had, only kid on long island that competes with me has 2 18s walled on 8000 rms and its close and i still got back seats! :-)
i got 6 of these in a wall built in the back of my suburban running a MTX-1501D to each one and it is crazy u cant hardly stand to be in the car while they are hitting u have to roll down the windows so u dont break all the glass buy these and u wont be sorry
If you want a loud sub here ya go. If you want it to sound good get something with actual frequency response.
i ran 4 12 cvrs 2 15 cvr in a custom box in my tahoe on a kicker 1500.1 and a 1200.1 but traded it all for the mtx 9500 on the 1500.1... no rattle trap hood bs, just deep earth pounding bass. my friends cant wait to get out of my truck and i cant wait to add another
I bought my two 9500s in 2004 and they are still going strong. I bought them as soon as they hit the market. Its the best sub i ever owned. I won several trophies with them.
