it is the best pounding sub for the price. i have two and they are driven by a 3000 watt amp. belive me it pounds. and pounds hard.
i have 2 of these that im pushin with fosgate p8002 thats marked at 2814 maw power and it hits, hits hard... Im lookin to double this set up an get all new components....highly recommend them...great subs!!!
forget kicker,audiobahn,jl-audio this sub will take on whatever and put it to shame
these subs are unbelievable. all my friends are jealous cuz these rockfords put their subs to shame. if your lookin for subs that just flat out pound...these are them
I currently have 1 pushed by a hifonics bx1000d amplifier and it flat out pounds. I will be adding another very soon! I have listened to a lot of subs and these rank up there with the best I have ever heard.
I currently have (2) of these in a small sealed box, with a Hifonics BX1205D (1200w x 1 @ 1ohm) in my dodge intrepid and they BUMP! Great bang for the buck!!! They also have very good sound quality. I want to get (2) more and buy a quad 12" box and get another 1205D!!
I just got 2 of these bad boys and I'm powering them with a Rockford Fosgate P8002 2 chanel amp and they pound so hard I have to adjust my mirror every 5 seconds. A friend of mine has 2 diamond 12" TDX's and mine put his to shame. 3 of my buddies told me the other day they could here my tunes in the school despite the fact that I parked at the other end of the parking lot from the school. They are the hardest pounding subs I've ever heard, louder than JL W6's and MTX M85's for sure.
these subs hit hard i have 2 of them in the PL3-212 costom encloser that Rockford makes along with Q Logic, and it only being power by the Rockford 600.2 amp running at 2 ohms. Dont even bother looking any where else just buy these subs
This sub obviously gives you that low end thump, but I think this was designed more specifically for "punch". It still has the drop, but not as much as the RF power series. But for certain types of music like rock or double bass drum stuff, this will give you a definite kick. Great sound quality. I have only one 12" hooked up to a RF 600 watt amp and it just frickin kicks really hard. But I also suggest getting dynamat for your trunk, as that's where alot of the volume comes from too.
I Just Bough this sub and i am curently only pushing 300 watts to it by my punch am it pounds!! can't wait to feed it more juice(although i prob dont need it) 110% satisfided with this. My friend has two adiobahns and mine hits almost, if not as loud, as his and we have the same amount of power to them!! Dont let it pass unless you want a T1 or T2
This sub really pounds being that it's not the top of the line sub... for the money you get super serious bass... I have two of them powered by the new T5001bd amp rated at 1057 on the birth sheet... you will not be let down with this sub at all!
I have two of these subs running off a rockford 800.2 with a 1 farad cap. many of my friends have systems aswell and hands down these subs hit the loudest and are also extremely durable. my friend actually blew a set of mb quarts then a set of w7 we play our music the same and my subs still thump like the day i bought them
This subwoofer is unbelievable! Once my friends heard my one 12" they went and sold their sub(s) and got this one. It's powered by a RF 600.1 and it pounds! Upgrading to two P3s and a RF 800.2. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED SUBWOOFER!
i went to best buy to hear these speakers and wansnt impressed at all. im not trying to bash RF because there power stage 2's sound really good. but if you want something a little cheaper and has more base go get the kicker comp VR one of those 12's hits just as hard as 2 P3's and there cheaper the p3's were 12in subs in a ported box
I really liked this sub. If you were to get it, get two. When they hit the spider flex's about 7 inches. Just dont put them in a sealed box. They wont sound near as good. And for $250 i can easaly aford 2 of them. just get a 1800 watt AMP and their both good to go. Total package of 2 subs, box,AMP for me was $980. But dont go over 3000 watts, your car battery wont put out the power for a clean sound unless you put another battery in the trunk.
I have 2 of these p3's in my 98 grand am in a custom sealed box, running off a rf8002 amp. they are the sickest 12s out 4 the money. I did my first comp. with these subs hit 145bds outlaw and 153 legal. they out did 2 kicker comp 15s. SICK!!!!
I have 1 P3 12 inch, and a 500rms/1200max watt Sony Xplod amp powering it. It is in a ported box. My rear deck vibrates so much that I thought the sub sounded bad. I popped the trunk, and turned up the voume till my back 5 inch speakers were about to explode and noticed the sub was still hitting with good sound handling it like a champ. My previous subs were those 10 inch 8 sided red Sony subs. They hit pretty dang hard, but with twice the power + a higher quality sub, I believe this hits just as well and perhaps better. I am happy with this product.
those P3s are the truth I have three on three 1000W crunh amps and a 3.5 farad capacitor in my chev malibu sittin on dubs bassin i'm beatin harder than folks with four fifteens if you aint got P3s you better go get some right now stop reading this and get some and maybe you can have a bass machine like mine
Updated Review: Now that I corrected the wiring problem... one sub was playing in 4ohm and the other in 2ohm... now they are both wired in 1ohm powered by the T5001BD RF Power Series amp (1057 actual RMS)... it's VERY loud and deep being that it's only 2 P3 12's... the top of the car looks like it's gonna cave in above 12 on the volume... again I say very high quality sub for the price being that it's not the big dog out of the Rockford Fosgate line up.
I have 2 of these subs wired down to 1 ohm being pushed by a Power series 10001bd from Rockford. Before i tell you the results i have to say i purchased a set of T1's for the high power amp also. Well I do not want to take the P3's out of my SUV. If you purchase these subs and get them installed in the correctly built enclosure this is all you need. These subs are so loud in my SUV that local installers here in California wants to know who tuned my box down to 34hz. Bottom line gets these subs and get the correct box/power combo and yes you will be heard. Outstanding product.
I have three of these set up to a Kicker 06ZX1000.1 They are not bad at all. I had two, I liked them so much I got a third one. Every person that has bought these are very happy and are glad they went with that. What you want is bass that will shatter things. I have had plenty of Jl Audio subs and amps, im a bigger fan of Rockford Fosgate. Everyone has a choice.
Caution this is a man's sub and needs a larger than normal box. I had one p312d4 in a sealed generic box that was a little small and I liked it so much I had to get another in a real box. I put two of these in my car and the bass is the most, clean, deep, thick, rock solid bass I have ever experienced. I had a box custom built to Rockford’s specs and it is amazing. If you buy any P3's, do it right and have a box built by a professional. It makes a HUGE difference. For 2 12's: build a box that is 3.75 cubic feet (larger to compensate for the magnet) dual ported 4" wide 11" long and enjoy.
Now these 12' subs are the best speakers I have ever had, I have them going of the d-class MMATs 800.2 ( 500 RMS ) and i have the amp completely down. Only because the box I have in the Cadillac are not doing any justice for the subs. RECOMMENDATIONS: USING THE SPECIFICATIONS FROM R/FOSGATE, BUILD A BOX! These subs are DEEP, and a conventional box will not do! If you really ready to pump these subs, u better be ready to put your mids and highs on a amp also, or control your subs with nothing less than 16 point equalizer on your radio!
this is a great speaker. I don't have much power going to it but it still makes everything shake, very deep bass great sound . once u hear this go down you'll see what i mean
This subwoofer is a great sub woofer. It will in fact keep up with the kicker comp vr. There was an article previously about one kicker beating two rockfords. This by the law of physics cannot be true since they are both the same power ratings similar db ratings. I bet the rockfords were in a Q logic box not built to rockford specs. The kicker comp vr subs at circuit city are in kicker made boxes. I love kicker and rockford. I own two of each which I have in seperate vehicles now but tryed both in the same vehicle. The kickers are indeed a little bit louder but the rockfords have a much better sound quality.Kicker is one of the top manufacturers for spl levels.Rockford is known for a mix of both.Make sure when you judge any product the are on equal terms.Even if the box is .1 cubic foot off, it can make a big difference in bass. Especially on ported boxes, they are not very forgiving in miscalculations.
Very good subs, very similar to the old HE2 subs out a few year back but can handle about 100 watts RMS more than the HE2's. I have two of them installed and running @ 1ohm to a Hifonics Brutus amp (1200 watts)in a sealed box and they handle the power well.
I got these just the other day and been completely blown away. They hit so hard i now have a window leak on my 94 4runner! Just shows Rockford still knows how to build great subs,
I just got 2 of these subs and they rock. I had the H2's but they did hit lows like these do. I need to get a new amp now to push them to there max for some hard hitting bass since the one I have dosnt push them like it did my old ones I need more power there great speakers and what at a great price I will continue to get all my audio supplies from here.
I got one in my ranger with full 1000watts strait wired from the battery. If you don't port the box it sounds clean .
