I've owned this amp since Jan '05. It's pushing 3 10"Fosgate He2's (400rms each sub) each one in a sealed box. Let me tell U, this amp pushes the HELL out of the subs!!! My Saturn ION shakes like crazy! Now I need to improve on my highs and mids since the bass is so loud. Highly recommend this amp. Good price, cool looks, and massive bass.
I just purchased this amp and have it hooked up to 2 10" Alpine Type X's and it has all the power you'll need to power your subwoofers....All the Boss amps that i've heard have awesome sound quality for the money you pay. If you don't want to spend a lot but need a lot of power Boss is the way to go
I have this on two 12" Audiobahn AW1200Qs running on 2ohm; Let me tell you this is the amp that is the best for anyone! By the way if you're going for SPL when buying this (or dual amp) you NEED an extra battery! Don't go with the caps because they won't help you at all with a setup maxing this amp.
Jan.15, 2006 I originally reviewed this amp a little over a year ago. Well, for over this period of time, I have been pushing this amp on a daily basis. Still pounding my 3 Fosgates HE2's. My cousin bought one and he's pounding 2 Audiobahns 10" 600rms each in a slot ported box. His system sounds just as loud as mine. The amp has never, I repeat, never overheated on me. Even in the summer where the average temp here in Bakersfield, CA. is like 100 degrees, this amp worked it's ass off for me. The thing I love most is when some fools drive around with $300 to $500 or more amps and usually they are Fosgate, Kicker, JL, you know, they "high end" stuff, and to see their faces when I tell them and then show them that I'm pounding my 3 10" Fosgates 400rms each, with this little 'o bittie Boss amp. Well, their stupid faces is worth a thousand words. And so is their systems. One last thing, I don't have a friggen expensive alternator, or 5 batteries or anything like that. Just have the same stock battery. A $70 1 farad power cap from Walmart, and 4 gauge ground and power cables. Just buy this thing and you'll thank me later. Again, great price, cool looks, and last but not least, massive power. Late!
I bought this amp to replace an old one, and when I bought it i didn't know what I was getting myself into because this amp provides an incredible ammount of power to your subs. I've bumped my subs with this amp for almost a year now and I've seen no deterioration, I just had to replace connectors because it shakes the frame of the car so much they came loose.
Very nice amp. It has plenty of power. I am currently running a Power Acoustic MOFO-15 and it bows the front windshield about 1/8 of an inch (doesn't sound like much unless you are sitting in the car)! This amp requires lots of current, so be prepared for lights to blink. Great amp for the money. I recomend it to my friends.
i just recently got this amp of a buddy of mine for $80.00. by far the best deal ever, this amp pushes anything and everything. i have it hooked up to 2 12" boss ripper series subs. pushing 400rms into each. my buddy has 3 eclipse 10"s in his car hooked up to a $800 rockford p8002 amp. my amp never overheats or any crappy sound or anything. and his rockford amp gets hot after 1 hour, i pound mine for 2,3 hours a time and it isnt even warm!! so buy this amp you WONT BE SORRY.
this amp is the best investment i bought it for 200 dollars to replace my other boss amp and right now i got it pushing 4 rockfordH2's 12's and its pounding now and overheating is no worry for me
good amp this thing is pushing 2 12inch l7 kickers really good at 4ohms i was truly amazed an the best thing is that it don't get hot at all
I first got this amp about a year and a half age and it sounds great bu about 8 months ago I thought the amp was going out so I got a nother one and i found out that a wire was just coming loose so I found myself with two of these. I ended up putting both in my truck hooked up to 2 spl 12's one for each sub and it is crazy but i live in AZ and they both never overheat. great amps.
Pounds the hell oit of my kicker l7 12s...cant even use it at full power..great amp.
