I have two of them in a ported box pushing them is a memphis MC1000D rms at 1000 watts @ 1 ohm and man let me tell you nothing but pure bass come from these bad boys. I'm no saying Premier is da best sub out there but from what I hear every time I turn my system on. I have a 98 Regency olsmobible these thing bump so hard they knocked my back window loss now water runs down in my trunk for the price you pay for these nothing can compete dont say I'm hating on JL and dont get me wrong they sound good as hell but why would want to break da bank and spend a truck load of money on one sub like da W7 when the W6 sound just da same and those are not cheap nether JL Audio ha ha Just Lost Audio ps why go with a company that doesnt even have their own line of cd players
Im pumping 2 of these with a PRS-D3000SPL pioneer premiere amp and it just slams in my hatchback. But these subs in my opinion blow way too easily.
I love pioneer. I have 2 of these in a ported box (3.25) running off a cadence 1200 mono watt amp and they thump. They don't go low like they should. I guest because they are spl subs. But for the money, they are worth it. Plus They don't distort, I think they can handle some more power.
I have 2 of these things hooked up to a poweracoustic 3000db amp and these things hit so hard that it is pathetic. I have just purchased my 3rd one and I am anxious to see how it will sound in my 91 crown victoria but overall this speaker is the shyt and sq is great. It says that they can handle 1000rms a piece but they are getting a little more from my amp which has a birthsheet of 2425rms and they have handled it all but when I turned it up I had to turn it right back down because my back window start to push out as I hit certain bass notes, but all in all these things are great and I would put them up against any subwoofer for competition that is.
Follow up on the review from Immortal Que before I was saying that I had a 3rd sub hooked up well I finally got it put in a custom made ported box and this thing is unbelievable. It is being pushed my poweracoustik 3000db still at 2ohms so each some is getting about 600wrms so they are under powered and the my trunk sounds like it wants to fall out. I am still breaking the subs in but I am afraid to see what it is going to sound like when I finally get them broke in but overall these subs are that deal and like I said I would put them up against any sub in competition. My next project I am thinking about getting another poweracoustik amp to link them together to make one amp and see how that would sound. I will keep you posted holla back. I Have 2 of these in my Blazer in a spl custom box hooked up to a poweracousik 3000 class D mono amp and these subs pound like no subs i have ever heard, it hurts my friends chest when they get in. you can hear me comin from a mile and a half. i recomend these.
I've got two of these each in 2cu.ft. boxes and are run with 2 alphasonik amps that put out 1500 watts rms each, and these subs pound like crazy, ive got 3 layers of dynamat extreme on my trunk and it still rattles like no other. NOTHING can get as loud as these subs for the money, and if your going for sound quality, they sound great in a sealed box. Great subs!!
This sub pounds!!!!!!!!! I have 1 of these hooked up to a Hifonics 1505d mono and it is the loudest thing ive ever heard!!!!! Definitly a best buy. 2 thumbs up to pioneer!!!
I just purchased 4 of these subs about two weeks ago from Onlinecarestreo which has alot better prices than my local retailer. Now before owning these i used to have 2 13 w7s powered by two of JLs 1000 watt amps in a custom ported box in the back of my 2002 yukon. I'll let y'all do the math for how much that setup costs. My 2 13 w7s were incedibly loud and very clean, but i wanted more. I then bought 4 of these subs and 2 rockford 1001bd amps pushing about 1400 watts apiece in a custom ported box in the same car. and this literally kicked the crap out of my w7s. The interior of my car is covered in dynamat and it still rattles the whole thing. Do not be suckered into JL, i know, i was there. I payed alot less for this setup than the JL setup and it was better. If you cant fit 4 subs, get 2 powered off and rockford 2001 bd, i have heard that setup, and yes, it matched or beat the w7s.
I purchased one of these from this site about a year ago, and put it into the extemded cab of my 99' s10, hooked up to a 500.2 Phoenix gold tantrum amplifier, bridged to 1000 watts, and man, does it thump!! Althou it isnt quite enough power, because it does distort and high sound levels, but thats not the sub's fault, I think this is an excellent value, for the same price you can get anything like that that will even compare!
I've had these subs for a week, and have already blown my hatch and increased the sizes of the pre-existing cracks on my windsheild. For what you pay, these subs create insane base, enough to rattle loose your rear veiw, and anger the neighboors. They simply pound!! With the audiobahn amp I have installed they grab about 400 watts each continous , not even close to enough power, and they still dominate the competition. Although headlight flickering is annoying, it kindof makes me proud!
I have two of these hooked up to a Rockfordfosgate 10001bd amplifier, and damn do they knock!! I already broke the brackets on my 3rd brake light.
ive got 2 of these hooked up to a assd7000 starsound amp (yes 7000watts) in a nissan 1400 champ and dam they rock im almost deaf 45%
These subs are monsters. I have four of them on a Boss PD-3000 bridged and they well worth it. It is a really good combination and I am planning on adding four more.
This sub is tight! I love the response and hard hitting bass notes it puts out. I got (1) 12' on a hifonics BXi 1606D amp. I can kick my friend who has (2) Alpine type R. great price and worth the money.
I purchased 4 of these babies with 2 Lanzar Amps n they Run 2,000 watts into these Subs and let me tell you i can be heard, no you can feel the bass from 3 blocks!! I recommend these subs they are top notch.:)
I have two of these on a BX2005D, MAN HOLD UP you won’t believe the way they shake the EARTH, whenever I turn the volume up car alarms go off and people look and some dance and give the thumbs up. This is the best sub I have ever had hands down.
You can't beat these subs. If you want the bass and lots of it this is the sub for you, and at this price you would have to be a head case not to pick up more then one. They hit so hard. Make sure you find the right amps to go with them. If you have any good ones in mind let everyone know about it. I have 2 boss audio IQ 1080s 1 for each sub. I think I wired them wrong, because the go out on me to quick, but dam do they hit hard.
WOW i have one of these in my car with a kenwood KAC-9102 at 2ohms with 850 rms and damn this thing feels like it is shaking my car apart it moves like no other will dominate 2 15'' audiobahns with no problem
This sub hands down is the best. I got 2 of these on a kole 3000D mono in an 07 impala and they kill the comp. I drown out almost anyone who trys to hit harder and louder than me. if your thinking of getting 2 of these believe me kole's 3000D mono is the way to go.
i have one of these 3004spl running off a riot 2500d in a custom porteed enclosure i havent goten the opertunity to break it in yet but it shakes everything, before i had a single 306dvc and that sounded good but could not shake like this now im willing to go up agianst any dual 12 system (with the exception of premier spl) you wont believe them till u hear them.
i have 4 of these hooked up to 2 soundstream PCA-2000D amplifiers, and it seems the pioneers cant handle the power, so i turned down the gain alot, and they seem to be running smoothly, and clearly.
The reviews on these sites kill me lol. You take a decent sub, run it on the dirtiest, over rated amps you can find them claim you are loud. Probably in a prefab box too. I'll show you how you review this sub. I have one in a 2cu.ft. slot port box tuned to 32 hz. Powering it with a JL audio 500\1. The sub sounds clean, drops low, and handles rated power all day long. The only down fall is the basket resonates a little and the plastic magnet cover rattles a bit but is easily removed by taking out the 2 metric Allen head bolts that hold it on. All in all a very decent sub.
i got 2 of these subs in a kicker comp ported box ran in series to a 2500 watt hifonics zues amp. they make my doors flex roof waves trunk lid lifts about 2 inches on my 2001 pontiac grand am gt
