If u want the best of the best go with this amp. I got two SPLW (2800 watts max and 1800 rms) 15's hooked up at 1 ohm stable and they pound hard, talk about taken ur breath away and maken ur ears bleed. Great tunning frequencies with a push of a buttion. Well worth the money , planning on getn 2 more of this bad boys.
This is my first time owning a PPi amp. Not my first time in car audio though. First thing I want you all to know is that you shouldn't have sleep on this bad boy, it is very strong (as is the 1200/4, but that's a different story). I have it connected to a head unit that only puts out 2volts on all pre-outs, but I cannot turn the gain too far because I am scared it will eat my subs. right now I have all Type-R products connected to the amps, I know need to upgrade. I think it is because of the amp. I had the same woofers on another amp and it wasn't nearly as accurate. The bass I get is deep, LOUD, and clean. I think this amp has a bad rap because of the old legendary PPI, but I know this (Directed) PPI is still up there. This amp has all types of crossovers. It has the 18db bass control (reomote/knob sold separate) and plenty of power. Please keep in mind this amp is on the large side, so if you are like me, limited space, I advise you either get another amp or make some space. 20x11x2.5 (estimate) I got the amp for $349.99. BEST VALUE EVER. Especially when I say this amp priced at $999 some places. In the end, trust me when I tell you, this amp is no punk beesh!!!!
