this amp is hot... a must buy... no a question to it... if your looking for a amp this is the one... this baby is gonna blast your speakers... way to go jl audio... keep up the amazing work...
I was going to go with my entire system JL Audio but flaked at the last minute. But if thier components are anything like thier amps, subs, and cleansweep I would be hard pressed to find another company delivering this quality. I have this amp powering my mids and highs (Diamnod Audio D9 and Infinity Kappa 6x9 3-ways) and its does a hell of a job. It's a little pricey and installation and usage of some controllers is not all that easy but after it all set up you will be more than happy with amp.
This amp is sick. I bought it used and it is more than enough to power an entire system. I believe it is underrated because i've got ONE of the 150 watt channels pushing a kicker 12l5 and it is plenty loud. The manual also states that 4 guage power cable is mandatory!! For 450watts??? Must be way more power.the other two channels are running a 3 way jl component set and it is the cleanest amp I've heard in a while. My wife doesnt really care about car audio but after listening for 2 sec. she said, "WOW"
great buy,but the only set back could be the pricing for this amp.but don't get me wrong,it's worth it.just all of us can't pay for high priced things.advise is>save and buy,you will be more than happy you did!
i have this amp runnin my JL components an Jl 6x9 an another set of jl tweeters every thing is so crisp an clear you can her them from blocks away not to mention the 13w7 OMG JL Rocks!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I gave this amp a 10 across the board because of its high power output, all the different settings, and because I got a really good deal on it. I bought this amp to power my JL XR components in the front doors of my 05 Grand Cherokee and the TR components in the rear doors. Installation was easy with the JL amp kit, though all the settings the amp has was kinda confusing to me since im not a car stereo buff. I think my system still needs a little more tweeking to get the "best" sound out of the amp. The one thing I am really happy with is how I installed it under a false floor I made in the cargo area and it does not overheat at all, it never shut down all last summer being under there driving 3+ hours with the stereo at full volume. The heat sinks did get burning hot to the touch, but it kept running perfect. I think this amp is well made, and I like how it automatically runs at different ohms and puts out the same power. I followed JL's recommendation of setting the amp using a volt meter, and I feel the amp will put out way more power than its rated for. I did a test and bridged the front channels to run my 10W6v2 sub and it sounded just like it did with my 500/1 amp pushing it.
