I HAVE THIS A8000V 1600 WATT AMP AND AN A1200V 1400 WATT 12 INCH AUDIOBAHN SUBWOOFER IN A 5.0 MUSTANG. I CAN ONLY TURN MY SYSTEM UP THREE QUARTERS OF THE WAY, BECAUSE MY SUB CAN'T HANDLE THE POWER, AND IT STILL POUNDS GREAT AMP, GREAT SOUND QUALITY, AND POWER. LOVE THE BLUE VOLTAGE METER DISPLAY
Amp pounds pretty hard. I have the same setup as the guy before me and I haven't maxed out the amp just yet.....still breaking in the woofer. Takes a lot of juice too I need to get a cap, my lights dim out on my civic when I crank it up past half. Last thing to note is that this thing gets hot, at least on a two ohm load in my case. Put an 8cm fan on the back of my amp rack and it's been alright since, just noting that. Otherwise great buy and ocs got it to me in georgia from cali in 5 days. Not bad at all.
Originally had this pushing two Audiobahn AW1251Ts. I had those 12"s wangin' to their full potential with this bad boy. Now it's powering a monsterous single 15" Audiopipe and it still bangs! Beautiful side neon lights, power protection, and voltage meter. Only downfall is the amplifier gets VERY hot but I have yet to have it stumble even in high 90 degree weather. If you need a pure 800 watts RMS, this is a gem.
i have 3 10" subs each with a max output of 300 watts and 4 ohms would this be a good amp for them?
have 2 of these in my '85 mazda rx-7 hooked u to 2 15 in AW1500N woofers. havent played in the mazda yet but had them in my old ford explorer. first system i have had. many compliments from others. matched in a db drag with 4 kicker solobaric L7's. great system. terrific amp. if i had to do it all over again, i would use the exact same setup
