these perform really well for the price and size. they hit all notes. they can actually get pretty low. sometimes at high volumes with the low bass there not as loud but ther response is always smooth. definitly power 2 of these with a alpine v-power m650 and you will have a perfect match, alpine has made thereselves a nice line up of products.
I got one of these from OCS and the sound quality is great. They go pretty low except when the volume is cranked but still sound amazing. I would compare the sound of one to 2 sony P5's but better sq.
I just installed two of these in a sealed downfire enclosure in my Chevy S-10 extended cab with an Alpine MRD-M605 600w mono amp and they pound so hard it's ridiculous. It's only a matter of time before my rear view mirror falls off. This is a great sub for the price. They are loud but very clean.
I have one of these in a sealed box (1.0 cu ft)under the rear seat of my Ram Quad Cab. I was originally going for the Type-R, but I didn't have quite enough mounting depth. I was hoping this would be up to the task. I am very pleased so far. It adapts to just about any kind of music, going hard enough for rap and alternative, but staying clean enough for jazz. I am running it on a Hifonics TXi-4008 bridged at 400WRMS, so I'll be dialing down the gain a bit. It hits hard and stays clean. Great sub, and cheap, too.
this subwoofer kicks ass i have one of these in my malibu on a 1800 watt kenwood amp
theres subwoofers are awesome i got 2 of these in a ported box in a 78 cadillac coup deville and this shit pounds dude my rearview mirror broke off and my side mirrors are utterly worthless these subs are worth the money
I have 4 of these in a custom ported box in a 1995 chevy silverado with no back seat. with an alpine 1000 watt Rms going to these subs. i can honestly say i have never hear any system on the street louder than mine. i also have JL audio componet speakers for my highs with an alpine amp powering it. i would highly recomend these sups. it hits hard at 155 decibels that is very loud ear pugs are requird at that level
This speaker sounds good on the high notes. As far as the lows this thing blows. Get a kicker or something else for around 20 more dollars and you'll be way more satisfied with your purchase.
i have 2 of these hooked up with a 1100w mono amp in my crew cap f-150 and they pound hard as hell i hit all the lows with my amp!!!! i turn on car alarms all the time im getting 2 more and alpine component speakers
I have 2 of these powered by a crunch p1500.1 and they hit hard for their size! My trunk latch is being destroyed and I keep blowing the lights in the rear deck brake lamp! If you power these things all the way, and box em in right, they will not let you down!
These subs are definitely a good example of bang for your buck. The sound quality is awesome and the bass notes come out so clean and crisp. I have mine hooked up to an Alpine MRP-650 (650 watts) with the subs bridged and I couldn't ask for a better sound.
these subs sounded awesome until they blew out and i had a warranty and alpine and the local dealer didnt help with shit the warranty i paid for didnt do a damn thing
I love these little boogers. I got them in the back of my Fj80 Landcruiser in a ground shaker slot ported box and being pushed by a kenwood 1800 watt amp. Theyr'e all the way in the back of my car and still vibrate my face when i drive! Definately a good buy!
I have 2 of these in a sealed box wired at 8ohms to a 1000w kenwood mono amp and they pound! My mirrors are useless and it feels like a massage when they hit. Plus they are very crisp and clean sounding.
i have 3 of these in a ported box and a kenwood 1000 watt amp i can not tell u how hard these pound they pound harder that 2 kicker 15s i recommend these 2 abyone who wants to have there brain bobling or body vibrating
i have two of these in my gti i have them hooked up to a hifonics brutus amp and they sound great..doesn't matter what type of music you listen to they always sound clear and hit hard.
Just got two of these in a sealed box, these things poundd. They're a million times better then my xplods, definitly a good buy
I have one of these in a 0.93 cu. ft. sealed box running @ 300 watts rms on an Alpine MRV-F345 amp in my S-10 pickup and I am so happy with it. The price for what you get can't be beat! As loud as it needs to be for a daily driver and top notch sound quality. They also have great wire terminals for a super easy instalation. Mine has been bumping for about 2 years now so they are plenty durable. I love when people are looking around for where the bass is coming from because they cant believe it's from the pickup coming their way. You can get louder subs but you will be paying hand over fist for them, unlike with these. I'll say it again, the price for what you get can't be beat!
I bought these back in 2006, it's now 2013. These things are hooked up to a Sony Xplod amp running about 125 watts per sub rms. Sound incredible, well worth the money. Back then I paid $36 per sub, but for value and durability, can't beat it. I give it a ten. Alpines are good.
Great sub for the money.
