i just got this deck installed and its pretty sweet. you would think it would be difficult due to the minimal buttons on the face, but its really easy once u get a hand of it. its very adjustable and has many handy features. the usb port is very nice. my ipod doesn't work through it, but i think its because its to old. i definatly recomend this deck to anyone who wants the freedom of expanding their system
I love this deck got it last week. features are wonderful. Made my speakers sound way better. I love the ipod interface. DEATH TO CD"S!!!!!!!!
this is a nice deck with many sound adjustments made my 2 12' titanium powers hit alot better and harder over my jvc deck, glad i bought this deck
I don't think I could be more pleased with a head unit. I'm replacing a DEH 1600 with it and the sound difference was more than I expected. With a little tuning and using the HPF incorperated in the unit, I managed to push my SR6500's to about 60% more volume with no distortion. With a better amp I'm sure I can get way more, even though it's loud enough now to damage your hearing if you listen to it for more than 20 minutes. Best bank for you buck head unit out there.
Well this unit is amazing with all the features that it packs, the sound quality is amazing and i can go from one source to another seamlessly. The ipod connection is crazy fast. I know the sound can be better after i get it tuned but for now its wonderful.
I installed this a week ago and couldn't be more satisfied. After learning the controls (esp. the master control knob) there are so many things that and so many inputs you can use with this radio. My 30GB Ipod video is totally controlled by this unit, also my thumb drive. I picked up an Iomega mini 160GB hard drive that also is totally controlled by the unit. Just be sure to get a USB hard drive (>less than 250GB) with a "Y" cable then use an Ipod cigarette lighter plug in vehicle since this radio doesn't have quite enough power for H.D. on it's own. The Iomega comes with this cable.
I just had my Head-unit install yesterday. I think everything is great as far as the capabilities of 690UB, as well as the clarity/sound. The only problem I have with this HU is the annoying blue graphics on the display. It is still a great Head Unit.
I love being able to control my iPod through the HU. Only problem is that whenever I go back to the iPod menu you have to start from the root menu. Thats a problem when you have over 400 albums and even in a playlist it can get annoying when you have over 500 songs in it. The HU picks up on new ratings I give to songs and includes them in My Top Rated smart playlist (I have to disconnect the iPod to rate the songs though). iTunes syncs my play counts and keep my Most Played playlist in sync with my HU controlled iPod. This is a great HU and so far the best for the money but could include fixes for the few cons I have.
I have this cd player and it rocks my 6x9 mts so hard my friends think I have subwoofers in the trunk just set it to super bass and turn the mids up to high and watch out its go bang hard
Nice deck has some useful features, I would like it better if it didn't turn bright blue and just stayed black. It made my infinity door speakers keep up with the L7. Great price.
