I did my very first system install in my ford taurus and didnt want to spend to much money so I bought all my equipment through OCS. To my surprise these subs really do hit hard. Matched with the sony gt9001 amp this combination is truly one of the best ive heard. for the money you really cant go wrong. my amp is set half way and it still hits hard. if you want good sound at a moderate price, i recommend these all the way.
i have this bein pushed by the 800 watt sony two channel amp and it hits pretty hard and gets pretty loud ive never really been a fan of sony jus because of the way people talk down on them but after purchasing a sony system i feel like slapping people that say sony sucks and there probly comparing sony to some of the higher end brands like kicker,rockford,jl audio. my opinion is that sony has excellent sound quality for the price and its pretty much a steal for how low the price is on theses compared to the sound quality
These are the speakers to go with and not 2 much doe to spend on them like kickers.
these subs are great, even though people say dont buy sony car audio. i bought these and they are plenty loud and car shaking. my rearview mirror is about to fall of from all the beating it has taken. my friends have paid alot more for there subs, but mine sound better, even with the low power amp ive got. i can't emagine if i had a nice amp. these are great subs, especially for the price.
I got these hooked up to a 1000 watt Kenwood amp and they hit extremely hard.. people talk bad about xplods but these are the best deal you will get on any subs..hands down. so dont pass up this deal
This is the same Johnny from Ft. Riley, Kansas. I'm one month shy of having these for a year and I'm glad to say that to this day, these are still sounding as good as the day I bought them. They still hit hard and its been quality all the way. I live in North Carolina now and the only reason I'm even rating these again is because after a year OCS and Sony deserve some praise from a very happy customer.
i have always been a fan of xplods ever since i was first given dual 10's from my brother...and those hit so hard people hated and had to steel them...n e who these r grate! power by a 1200watt amp..really pushes this really is a best buy! cant wait to put a eq on it
I had this box hooked up to 1000 watt sony ampsounded real good for a minute there,but they blew out 5 songs later. I Called and Tried to return them,but it was not possible.Online Car Stereo did not want to warranty them. I Recommend Nobody to purchase from "Online Car Stereo"Please post this review
This is the same tyler b as before. after about a week since ive installed them w/ my 1200 watt amp. they blew, smoked them out. it was my fault, didnt have a cap and fuse wasnt match to amp. lucky for me though i qualiy for replacement at sony. so for will from bronx i would contact sony about that. great service from sony!
Great looking and great sounding. These really pack a punch. I have a 1000 watt amp hooked up and that would easily blow out my back window if I maxed it out.
I bought these 2 years ago from best buy. I got the subs and a sony 800 watt amp for $***. I had it professionally installed and man was it worth it. My friends told me they could here me from a mile away. I had these things squished into my tiny dodge neon and man were they loud! These things rattled off my rear view mirror, my spoiler, and stripped out my back dash board. These also had very low distortion for the quality. This was my first system and was sure the best system for the money!
I just got these subs and they hit HARD. Get at least a 1000 watt amp and you'll be set. The only problem is that they are huge. Make sure you measure cause mine just barely made it in my trunk
I bought this to upgrade from a pair of 10's i had for a few months, so far i like them alot. i have them running off a 1000 watt sony amp and they hit. i recommend them..
I have had these subs for 2 years, and they still sound great. I bought it with the sony xplod 800 watt amp, which is the setup recommended by sony. My review mirror is almost completely off, and I am told I can be heard coming from about 4 blocks down. Don't let these deceive you, great product. Buy Them!
had these for about a year powers them with a 3000w amp it lasted about a year then i pump it to hard oon day and burnt the coils right up. In my mind there great held up to the pounding of the amp for as long as it could and trust i worked them. just dont put a 3000w amp on them and u will be very happy eith your choice.
I got these speakers for Christmas a year ago, and I love them. They sound great. The only problem is the price on this, I got mine at a pawn shop for $80. For the same price you could get almost any kicker 12 inch.
