Product Reviews For Rockford Fosgate Punch P200-2

  • On the box it says 200 watts RMS total power. On the birth certificate, it says 270 watts RMS. I blew an old Punch Stage 1 12" sub with this, but not a new one. It's as expensive as any other amp on the market, but the build quality and the power it produces can't be beat. Also, it's smaller than the pictures lead you to believe. Look at the dimensions.

  • I have an "Old" Power 650 that RF rebuilt for me. Ive owned Zapco,US Amps, and Class A SoundStreams. I have found that RF amps dont break. My friend turned me on to his new P200 from onlinecarstereo and I got the bug back. The 650 is mine. The P200,s are for the wife,s car.

  • man, this amp don't make any sense. this amp hits harder than my Kenwood KAC-929 1000 watt amp. people can't believe that this 200 watt amp hits this hard. i have this amp bridged to 1 ohm and thats when they still work well. if u have 2 200 or 2 400 rms speakers then you can play it on 1 ohm for a good while without over heating. people be thinking that i have 1000 watts and when they see this they are amazed everytime. i encourage anybody to get this amp if you want something that doesn't use as much current and beats really hard. i also have a rockford fosgate bass knob with it too and it maximizes the power and brings out the true power so you need to get that too to get the real power of this amp.

  • my sister has this amp hooked up to a rockford fosgate p2. And it makes me so mad cuz it hits harder than my solo baric with a kicker zx400.1 amp. This amp is way under rated and has enough power to push anything you want it to. GREAT BUY

  • Okay so i have two 12" Kicker Comps and bought this amp hoping that the 200 Watt amp would be able to push my speakers that are 350 RMS, i opened the box and it said "this individual amp was tested up to 856 Watts" so in reality i was using an amp with 800 watts, although its labeled as 200 (probably to keep the price down). My subs kick hard enough to shake the mirrors of cars next to me and vibrate my hands on my steering wheel almost shaking my mirror off my windsheild... Rockford Fosgate is the ONLY way to go if you want low price and great power and reliability! Not to mention how much sexier it looks than other amps.

  • I love this amp. It really rocks. Also to answer anthony From gaines michigan's Question . You probobly have the amp turn on lead installed to an accessory line that turns off when the car is not running. Hook it up to the amp turn on lead wire from your head unit or the automatic antenna wire both of which turn on when the radio turns on regardless of the status of the car. good luck. Great amp!!! I run 3 of them. One powers the front 2 way seperates, one the rear 3 way 6.75 speakers and the other one 12" woofer. I had to turn them all almost all the way down because it was just too much to be able to relax while you drive. Sometimes I turn them on to show someone what it can do and they are completely amazed at what a total of 600 watts can do!

  • Man this thing pounds! Have it wired to an RE Audio SRX 12" and it pounds harder than that POS kicker amp I had before! The only negative thing I would say about this lil amp is that it's power hungry! My old kicker amp didn't dim my headlights no matter how high I put the gain and this one does at half gain. Nothing a Big 3 Upgrade can't fix! Highly recommend this amp!
