I personaly heard one of these 10" subs with the volume at max or just under clipping in a 2001 Chevy Suburban in a small 1.75 cubic foot sealed box with a Rockford T4002 bridged to it and it was louder and sounded much tighter than the previous system that was in it with a JL 500/1 and a 10W6v2 in a JL HO box. Both setups were installed by pros at cartoys so you know there weren't any unfair advantages there. Very very clean and hard hittin sub.
I have 2 of the svc 12's just like this that are 3 years old. They sound great in a sealed or ported box. Ive had both. These babies are power hungary though. my 12's are 500 rms also and they take that and want more, so dont go cheap on an amp. These have great SQ and SPL. and at this price you cant go wrong. buy 2 and get a box made to specs on xtant website and trust me with enough power you will put rockford, alpine, jl, sony, mmats, orion, diamond ect all to shame and with SQ
I Used to have a pair of these subs- They were running on a PPI 2150 running at 4 Ohms stereo, they fried. the lead going from the connector to the voice coil - burnt - not a nice smell to have in a car. They sounded great while they lasted. The magnets were so powerful that they erased my notebook computer HD when I had placed it in the trunk of my car.
nice for the price, but dont go cheap on an amp thease babys need power!
well i have a pair of these and they sound great and i have them hooked up to a alpine v-12 amp 700 watts what do yall think do i need more powerfull amp or wat well they sound good
