  • I just bought this unit to replace the factory headunit in my '03 Lancer. I bought it for $20 at car audio event and it has been by far the best $20 I have ever spent. At first i just got it for a cheap HU with a set of pre-outs to connect the two BW13.1 Bassworx subs and the Bassworx BA500.1 mono amp i just picked up. I was first pleased by the ZERO problems encountered during install, and the 4x50w output courtesy of MOSFET put out a nice supply of high quality juice to the 4 factory speakers. I was even further pleased with the SuperTuner technology when cruising in the city, areas where reception was weak and staticy now comes in clearer than radio ever had on the factory unit. Not to mention the auxilary in is really nice to have, no more crappy FM transmitters for me :). To fully be appreciated this piece should be used in conjunction with upgraded speakers, which is next on my list, if you're still running crappy OEM paper ones like me :/ All in all this is a solid, easy to use unit with all the essential features and is WELL worth the price

  • Alright, so after running this HU for a week and finally installing me Bassworx amp and duel 13"s I am still happy with the product, however not AS happy as I was at first. Now im not sure if its my crappy OEM paper speakers or the EQ, but it just isnt sounding right. When i dont mess with the EQ very much sound quality is maintained but subs seem underpowered, as in barely kicking at all. After tweaking EQ a little bit subs come to life and start wakin up neighbours but sound quality goes out the window :/ So come this next paycheck I'll be ordering a Soundstorm EQ and some 6.5" Clarion component speakers and see how those remedy the situation :)

  • I got this at a local store because my stock deck scratched my cd's and made my amp mess up but ever since i put this bad boy in. Everything has worked fine, this is a real good HU.

  • I brought this radio for my 96 dodge avenger and it's a must have...the radio is so simple to operate and is well worth the price...the only flaw is that the commands on the radio can be hard to read at times...but u can do basically everything on the remote control...and the green light shows good at nite time...
