Very good speakers. Have great mids and highs. Lows are also impressive. I would recommend them if have the money
Just arrived yesterday propmpt delivery ordered Thurs i connected them to my MB Quartz 80 x 4 channel amp .Wow i am impressed very clear at loud volumes my Infinity reference 3 ways did not sound a s good these are way better than Infinity reference 3 ways im glad i went with these instead 100 rms chile papi, thank you onlinecarstereo you been good to me amen.
Just got these on clearance and what a steal! I installed mine last week and i still cant believe the clarity of the highs and great bass
Put these in the rear deck of my '96 Impala and powered them with an old school PPI A404.2 and they sound awesome! Installed the matching JBL 4x6's in the doors being pushed by a PPI A100, and to finish it off a single JBL 10" sub in a sealed box...and I'm in heaven - not too much but definitely not lacking either. The clarity at any volume, the power handling, the low price.'ll be hard pressed to beat these without spending lots more $$. Get 'em. Put an amp on 'em. Rock on! \m/
I love the 3dB attenuator switch and the general construction, assembly and packaging, the sound is rich and the bass is firm I would have love if the mounting holes would be wider because I could only use 2 bolts out of 4 on my car
Put these in my 2005 Ram 1500, and love them. The highs and mids are very clear, the bass is good , but a sub will make it better. Got my spakers fast and the best part is I got them at a great price!!! thanks On Line Car Stereo!!!
Great speakers for the money
High quality sound at a budget price. The great JBL tradition lives on. These were the first step in upgrading my factory stereo. Turns out its all I need to achieve an excellent sound system.
Great product with clear sounds.
These speakers with a 1400 watt amp play on a par with my studio reference system in my home. Clean, clear sound from bass to high treble. You can't beat them in a vehicle.
As far as bang for your buck goes, these seem to hit the sweet spot! I'm not using a amp to push them just an Alpine deck so im sure im not getting all i can out of them. If your going to run them without a sub you may want an amp as the highs seem to out way the bass without one. The old adage you get what you pay-for might not apply here as these sound pretty damn good.
Great speakers
Good sound, great value for the buck the only drawback are the mounting holes. I don't know why but I only could use 2 of them out of 4 there was always 2 holes not fitting properly with the OEM holes in the rear deck of my car.
I only rated the sound quality a 7 because I'm not using the woofer at all. I'm running to Rockford T1's and really needed some good 6x9s with highs and these do really good. Crisp sound and no distortion. Thanks.

Are amazing clear sound
These are the first pair of 6x9s I've purchased, and I am completely satisfied with them running off my Pioneer head unit. It's difficult to imagine they could sound better with an external amp. The highs/mids are crystal clear and the lows are surprisingly accurate with very little room for improvement. I am considering a subwoofer, although I'm convinced I would be equally as happy installing an amp for my current speakers. I recommend the GTO938's all day. The price is very reasonable for the performance.
These speakers are really really good. I have an expensive studio setup with high end JBL speakers in my home, and these JBL car speakers sound almost as good. For $59 a pair you can't beat em. I am running them off the factory radio of my 2008 Chevy Malibu. If I had them running off an aftermarket radio, an an amp, they may match or exceed the sound quality in my studio. They are crystal clear with accurate sound down to the sub bass area, all the way up to the highest highs. The only issue I have with them, is the built in tweeter can get harsh at times. Only the best sounding music sounds perfect on these. Which is ok, but if something is not mixed that great, these will tell you. I have these installed with a decent amount of dynamat on the rear deck and on the speaker openings. My door speakers are JBL GTO 638's with same dynamat treatment. Online car stereo had the best price!
