Well i enjoy it alot fit perfect in my dash look like it came factory the sound is great picture is perfect the only problem is updating my navigation don't know how but overall worth the money i recommend it to anyone fir quality and price cant beat it.
After 3 months of having this unit I can't say that I actually love it. It has some firmwar and Nav issues. I have used it quite a bit and the weak spots show. First you can read all about the features above so I will not waste your time or mine. The problems that I have discovered so far. This is NOT true street by street navigation. It only says big street, ways, highways and so on. Nothing small whatsoever. So chances are YOUR street will NOT be announced. If you like turn left, turn right then you are good. But, I paid for TRUE street by street announcing which I did NOT get. The Bluetooth audio via YOUR phone locks up sometimes when it's pressed too fact. The system can NOT keep up and locks the screen on the unit. Then the only way to change songs is via your phone (DANGEROUS WHEN DRIVING). This flaw locks up my audio steering wheel controls as well. Needs to be fixed!! Loses phone bluetooth storage info from time to time. Not very apparent on map update procedures (I figured it out though) and the associated costs that will come with this unit. Documentation is horrible VERY VERY small and blurry. I needed the online PGF to see the small important print. I paid $700.00 for this... :(
I put this in my 2010 Tundra, it improved the sound quality quite a bit. The GPS works well for me so no complaints there. The touch screen has a poor response. I have to setup the blue tooth connectivity to my phone almost every time I get in the truck.. The sound quality on the hands free phone is poor; so many complaints that I don't use it any more. The interface with Pandora is great...when it works. The screen is very hard to see when the sunlight hits it, it works well at night but is practically opaque during most of the day. When in my car with the factory installed GPS this is almost never a problem, but the NX404 is practically useless. If the features would work and it did not forget my phone (almost) every time I shut the truck off..would be a great radio. I regret getting this radio.
