Product Reviews For Boss Audio AR1600.2

  • I bought this amp about 2 years ago and only use it in the summer time but seems to be doing great so far! I have it hooked up to 1 Lanzar MAXP154D which is a 4Ohm DVC sub wired in parallel so a 2 Ohm load at 1 channel (800 x 2 channels at 2 ohms). Since this sub is rated for 2000 for both coils I tried 1 coil bridged at the amp (4 ohm load) and turned it about halfway on the amp(1600 max power bridged) and anything over 3/4 was making the amp overheat! It's bound to happen though, so I crank it up at 2ohms on 1 channel using both voice coils! I would like to switch it up and go with 2 subs on separate channels that are more suitable for 800w RMS at 2 ohms. Sounds pretty great for the price! BOOM!
