I recently purchased this deck and am happy. It has Sub Woofer controls which to me is critical having a system (Frequency, Slope, Gain, and Phase controls). It runs 50x4 and 22x4 rms. It has customizable colors for the screen (display) and Keys (buttons and outline). So if you have neons you can get the deck to match your color, which is nice. USB allows charging of your iPod or smartphone. And Bluetooth allows wireless streaming of digital music. The deck can change the songs as well. Plus you get a mic with the deck so hands free calling can be enabled. There are so many features and specs I can list. It was either this deck or an Alpine which didn't have Sub controls till models over $200, so for me this was the clear choice. Granted I am an Alpine fan when it comes to decks and mid/high speakers. I would recommend this deck to anyone who wants a nice stereo for an extremely competitive price.
The Pioneer DEH-x6500BT installs easily. It sounds fantastic and crystal clear. The BT hands free calling is nice and clear also. The volume on the receiving end is at natural-like levels. It does take a moment to get used to the system navigation, but not long. Siri works well with the large knob, simply depress it a moment and she’s ready for voice commands. This unit is packed with nice features. The audio adjustments capabilities are nice for those who desire to tweak their sound. The USB charging port charges an iPhone 4S in under 25 mins from a nearly depleted cell. I bought this unit as a gift for my wife to use with her iPhone 4S. It works well with the Music app, Siri (main reason I got this), Pandora, and for Phone calls (send receive). I can't believe we got all of this functionality for such a low price. I've been through quite a few hands-free aftermarket BT setups and most of them are absolutely worthless and very expensive. This head unit had everything we needed and lacks nothing for those who like to take their digital media/phones with them everywhere. Keep in mind that I have only tested with iPhones iPods (iDevices – not Android). I have installed a few Pioneer unit prior to this and other vendors such as JVC, Kenwood and Alpine. For the price, this one had THE BEST sound quality all around when compared against the competition priced under $210.00, in my opinion. Testbed for this unit: Ford Taurus SE 2002 w/Premium Sound/Speaker package. I removed Ford's factory-installed head unit, then used a Metra aftermarket dash kit to install the Pioneer DEH-X6500BT. Easy, easy, easy install. Pioneer uses industry-standard wiring harness/breakout adpater (included w/ stereo unit) and the colors match the aftermarket wiring perfectly. I am still amazed at just how nice the digital media playback quality is.
Great Bluetooth Stereo For the money Not one problem very tuneable highly recommend
