I installed it in the tour pac on my Harley. It's great with the lid open but I wish it had a little more punch. I drilled 3 2" vent ports behind the passenger back rest and it helped immensely. Good bang for the buck. Would look for 200-250w if I was to do it again.
I recommend this sub-woofer for anyone looking to add some clean bass in a compact car or single-cab truck, without having to sacrifice trunk/passenger space or weighing down the vehicle. Got this professionally installed in a 1995 Honda Civic coupe in front of the driver seat due to the sub-woofer being slightly too tall to fit flush; despite having to sacrifice a bit of leg room, the approx. 10.5' x 8" college ruled notebook sized sub is not intrusive. Due to the sub's small size, my expectations were beyond surpassed. With proper adjustments and volume control, the bass sounds very clean at reasonably high volumes as well as you and the passenger(s) being able to feel the vibrations radiating from the sub. This sub will not rattle the car's windows but I have had all my windows open while driving on the highway, and I can still hear the music in depth, compared to having no sub-woofer the music would just get lost with all the wind noise. Also the included blue-lit remote control, which offers volume, frequency, and phase adjustment dials’, is convenient. Although, the frequency dial did not seem to work on mine, I was easily able to adjust the frequencies via my in-dash head unit. After a year of daily usage the sub stopped producing any sound.
