Product Reviews For Soundstream PN5.640D

  • I originally bought this amp for a different setup, but I decided to try it on my other jeep. I have it hooked up to a set of soundstream RC-6 components in the front doors and in the rear are soundstream SP2.654 pro audios and for the sub I am running Rockford P1-1x10 single voice coil loaded sub box, I must say I never expected this little amp to push what it is pushing. the sub seems to get plenty of power while this front and rear seem to want more, but , they sound clean and for everyday listening this little amp impresses me and everyone who listens to it.

  • Great for improvement over factory sound of that is what you want. It is easy to hide because it is so compact. If you want to blow out the neighborhood or win competitions this may not be for you. But I think it is a great upgrade from factory.

  • I bought this amp because it was cheap and I needed one for a car I was selling. It does it's job, that's about all I can say. I won't buy another, but I don't buy bottom dwellers anyways. I have always had good experiences with OCS and this is no different. I will continue to shop here whenever the need arises.

  • This is my first experience with a 5 channel amp but this thing is very impressive. I have never used Soundstream products and with such a cheap price, I thought this would be junk but was I wrong. I wanted something small but powerful for my Wrangler and this was ticket. I mounted it under my dash for a clean and stealthy look and with it being a Class D amp, its never gets above a warm temperature. Its powering 4 Polk 6.5's and a 10in Infinity. I have the gains turned up 1/3 of the way on the Polks and it can be deafening with the doors and top on. With them off, it is perfect. The sub isn't crazy loud which is what I want. This was a perfect setup for me. Very happy.

  • The unit was a drop in replacement of a factory amplifier to drive aftermarket speakers with subwoofer. After tuning the unit the device delivered improved sound. I was pleased with all aspects of the quality.

  • For this class of amplifier, you can't beat this little dude. If you are expecting monster power look elsewhere, but if you want something that plays load enough to hurt your ears with clean, distortion free sound, this might just be the amp for you. I have this installed in a 2004 F150 attached to 4 Pioneer TSD6802R 6x8 and 1 Pioneer TS-SWX251 sub. I can't believe what a difference it makes! It trumps any factory system. This amp fits perfect behind the back seat and it was very easy to install.

  • This is the first amplifier I have ever had. Installed it my self in a 1969 Camaro. Liked it so much I bought another for my 64 Vette. Very easy to install and not much work to get tuned in. Only difficulty was trying to read the dials. once that was figured out all went well. Excellent sound on all channels including the sub I added to the Camaro. The 5 channels allows for options. Make sure that your head unit has outputs for all the channels. Camaro has a Sony with only front and rear, nothing for the sub. Excellent value.

  • I was looking for a small amp to fit in my 2014 Ford Focus ST and it had to install under the wheel cover in the hatch. This one fit perfectly! I highly recommend a sound processor if you are adding on to a factory stereo. I am amazed at how well it powers my front and rear component Alpine speakers as well as a bazooka 10" passive sub. I give it a 10 in all categories as a micro amp, great power and price for features.

  • Great little amp for the price and the size! This thing is TINY, but no shortage of power. Not a fan of the RCA's connect, but not many other options with how small it is.
