Water-resistant and Has an Anti-corrosive Coating
The Sony DSX-M80 is water-resistant and has an anti-corrosive coating, so you do not have to worry about the rust that could build up from the salt water that is accidentally splashed onto the receiver. It also has a UV-resistant finish, so the bright sunlight would not be a big deal.
Can Use Voice Commands to Ask for Directions
You can use voice commands to ask for directions, send messages, and play music on your iPhone or Android phone. It has a built-in AM/FM tuner and is SiriusXM-ready, so you can follow and listen to all your favorite shows or stations, even if you are sailing in the ocean. It also has a Bluetooth connectivity option for wireless music streaming and hands-free calls.
Has a Built-in Amplifier
The Sony DSX-M80 has a built-in amplifier with a six-channel preamp output so that you can connect a pair of front and rear speakers each and a couple of subwoofers for a full-range frequency performance. It can handle a power output of 45 Watts RMS per channel and has a peak power of 100 Watts per channel.
Has a 10-band EQ
For audio enhancements, the Sony DSX-M80 has a 10-band EQ so that you can shape the receiver's frequency response to your liking. It also has an EXTRA BASS feature if you are looking for more heart-pounding bass performance and a Digital Sound Enhancement Engine to enhance your file's sound quality. Lastly, it comes with high and low-pass filters to filter out the unwanted frequencies that could damage the speakers.

I bought 2 of these radios. 1 for my 2012 roadglide, and 1 for my aunt and uncles 2011 police electra glide converted to a tri-glide. I Installed the tri-glide very easily with no problems in 2 hours. Probably could of done it in an hour, but I was taking my time since it wasn't my bike, and I dont like fixing things I've done already. The other radio is going to be an over the winter build. I will have to update you guy's on that one later. Over all the 1 I installed so far is everything it is supposed to be. No complaints here.
P.S. If your looking for fancy, this isn't for it, but if you are looking for functionality, easy use, good power, and some advanced fearures for a lower budget head unit, this is definitely a good buy!

I have an 80 JP cj5 that I have owned for 40+ years. It is used for work which is off-road 95% of the time. It sees a lot of mud,dust,debris and moisture and
so far sony stereos have been the only head units that can take this abuse, period. I’ve tried JVC ,Kenwood(didn’t make it a week),Soundstream, Alpine,DS18 (to be fair this unit still works . I pulled it after 2 weeks because I wasn’t happy with the quality). I replaced it with the Sony DSX-M80 and love it. I don’t know why I ever strayed. ONLY IN A JP , with a sony.
